Smith’s best win was his terrifying KO of Castillo. And that’s not saying much.

Glad it is official and has a date. Think Smith needs to have a very active pace and capitalize on his reach to make Morrell unable to try get out of range.

But think it is quite likely that Morrell will clip him starting competitive until Morrell shakes off ring rust to, Callum isn't skilled nor durable enough. Think Morrell will score his first KO at light heavyweight too.

I like Morrell but his punches aren't very accurate and crisp. He really did lose to Khataev and was very lucky to get a W.

Callum is just kind of slow, flat footed, predictable, and doesn't do well against opponents who move well. He's always been very underwhelming and couldn't compete at the top level. A lot of guys are like that to be fair.

Morrell will win due to his age and power.

If it's early in the year to shake off ring rust. I say it be pretty good for Bivol, as he have enough time to settle for the other bouts if he wins without issue.

Think fans will move on quickly that he isn't prioritizing Beterviev, or Benavidez or any other notable fighter if he gets that out of the way.

If you asked me 18 months back I'd have laughed and said Morrell by brutal K.O, no doubt.
Now I am not so sure.

I thought he looked horrible vs Hot Rod, despite success vs Benavidez the game plan was horrendous, he got a gift in his last fight granted the guy popped for steroids but I didn't think he was anything special at all.
Morrell has a lot of tools but is very low IQ. He never fights to his strengths or best interests.

I'm actually a fan but truth be told he's a ****** fighter who will go out and stand right in front of Smith trading hooks, giving him his only real chance to win.

It's a good fight for the division, glad it's signed. Bivol may as well vacate the IBF and fight Beterbiev again. I can only imagine the holdup for Bivol - Eifert is lack of broadcaster interest.

That would be funny but honestly Bivol vs Eifert is less interesting than Smith vs Morrell so yeah make them fight on some undercard.
