I’d laugh if Dana White helps puts them out of business…

there are no money fights at lightweight. shakur wouldn't come back. this is better than stripping/vacating after 6-12 months of inactivity. obviously don't pay 100 000 for nothing and continue with your life. there's no reason to hate.

50% of a sanctioning fee for doing nothing? WBC wants free money. Them stripping Stevenson has everything to do with giving Zepeda a title fight

Man these WBC dudes are absolutely crooked and greedy AF! Bud was absolutely 10000000% right They now want a want a fee for fights they aren't involved in at all? Man they are not doing themselves any favors with Zuffa trying to be rid of the sanctioning bodies with this sort of behavior.

Rule 7.3 seems extortionary. Do the other sanctioning bodies behave similarly?

I mean he was right not to give them a 100k because it’s likely he won’t be back at 135 seeing as all of his rivals/future opponents are 140 and higher and he looked strong and still sharp as hell at 140lbs, plus he’s already collected that belt that’s done but the wbc are complete idiots I remember a time when Canelo didn’t defend his WBC for a long time yet he was aloud to keep holding it where as Shakur defended his title like 6 months ago and there sharp to strip him soon as he wins another title.

That is shocking levels of crookery by the WBC, it's no different to criminal extortion

in a text from WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman sighting Rule 7.82, in the event the WBC title is not at stake, the WBC may charge a sanction fee anyway so as to finance a lavish lifestyle.

Most boring fighter since Guillermo Rigondeaux. And I use the word "fighter" in a very free sense.
