I think Zuffa boxing will fail miserably.

I just can’t see how this succeeds with how little they’re willing to invest. Nobody is tuning in to watch Callum Walsh. Who else do they even have signed too?

I see this being a Temu version of ESPN FNF.

It really does seem like an amalgam of all the things we hate most about boxing combined with all the things we hate most about UFC. "Worst of all worlds" is a tough sell.

I could imagine it failing so miserably that Dana will recruit lower tier UFC fighters and guys from Power Slap to box just to fill up his undercards.

What gave it away? Dana white being involved? The work your way up for pay set by them? Or the overall thin roster of nobodys?

"I’m going to have all these up-and-coming guys.
“We have this kid named Ocampo who is a seasoned veteran, his only losses are in title fights, three title fight losses."

How the hell is a 30 year old veteran with 3 losses an 'up and coming' guy?

And the guy who wants to kick out the governing bodies is using the fact that Ocampo has been in three title fights to sell his headline fight. Without realising it, he's already seeing why the governing bodies are needed. Belts and rankings give credibility that you can market.

So the approach for Zuffa is to take lesser fighters and have them fight for an irrelevant title in front of a few hundred people.

Presumably he'll use the UFC pay model, so no big name will want to cross the street.

          No chance it works.
