I posted a list by The Ring Magazine, you know, the same magazine that's been the go-to for boxing for 100+ years

You're legitimately having a crying melt down over it like when you found out your momma and daddy were brother and sister because Floyd's #1 on it.

It's not that deep. Get over it.

It's a solid list. No issues with most of it.

I would be curious to know what they valued more for this ranking. For example, I love Crawford and think he's downright amazing. But his resume is pretty thin - he has Spence and Canelo. If he doesn't take the Canelo fight and win, he doesn't come close to sniffing this list. Is 1 fight enough to propel you into Top10 of last 25 years?

Hopkins - amazing fighter, amazing longevity. He was top 1/2 in P4P for a couple of years.. but he has quite a few losses.

Inoue - still writing his story, but he lacks a marquee win. Largely it's not his fault - you can't beat someone who doesn't exist. On the other hand, he could have tried to get top big names into the ring at times.

Ward - short career and questionable/dirty fights. Busted Kovalev's balls when he didn't need to. Between that and Kessler headbutts, just can't take him seriously.

Canelo - I'm not a fan recently, and he did cherry pick a lot of his opponents.. but he should be higher on this list. He got a gift or two, but he had a dominant run.

Just like you dont understand how TESLA rockets work, they still do. Same as weight differences for smaller fighters. Doesnt need you to understand it. It still works.

Manny is the naturally smaller man, yet achieved just as much if not more in Floyds own weight classes!! And floyd ran like a b1tch when they fought.

Manny fought 50% more fights than Floyd and went through more adversity to get there. Got sparked cold, got back up and won titles. He thereby proved his resilience. Floyd would have curled up in a ball had he been sparked. He was extremely careful not ot get sparked. Ran like a girl when pushed. Coward. Manny is STILL world class! Manny is the better man with a greater career.
WTF are you talking about? I did t suggest there wasn’t a difference. I just pointed out the 8 weight classes thing and how much additional weight it is.

Oh I get it. You’re another Manny nut gobbler mad that he lost. Dude get over it already.

He isn’t as good as Floyd so yes he had more adversity. Yes he is poor defensively that is why he got ktfo. Kudos to him for coming back. Floyd is one of the greatest defensive boxers ever, that is why he never got ktfo like Manny.

That isn’t so much proving resilience. It’s losing because you’re made a defensive mistake.

Actually every fight Floyd got blasted he made a comeback and won. Shane, Cotto, Zab, Castillo.

I suggest using a toothpick to get Manny’s pubic hair out of your teeth and Let that bitterness go.

not according to this poll and almost every other one. Manny is the 2nd best boxer in Floyd’s era. Not too shabby if you ask me.

Again I didn’t realize you were a Manny ball gobbler so I will end this here.

Drink some prune juice and let that sh-t go dude. It’s been almost 10 years.

                    I think if you look at Hopkins, from 00-25 he beat;

                    Felix Trinidad
                    Anontio Tarver
                    Kelly Pavlik
                    Jean Pascal

Which I'd say were all elite wins as the heavy underdog

Then he's got solid wins vs Top ranked guys like

                    Echols
                    Holmes
                    Joppy
                    Allen
                    Eastman
                    Shumenov

                    Amongst others

You've got the two wins vs smaller men in Oscar and Winky Wright.

                    Then you've got the close loss's that could have gone either way in;

                    Jermain Taylor
                    Joe Calzaghe
                    Jean Pascal 1

Add in he's the oldest World Champion in the history of boxing.

That's got to be Top 10 but more than likely Top 5 at this moment in time I would say.

Ward and Hopkins have no business on this list. Could easily replace them with Cotto, Marco Antonio Barrera, Morales, or even Donaire ahead of them. Might even favor Calzaghe, Mosley, Marquez and Bradley while I'm at it. Ward and Hopkins were highly overrated, dirty, and boring.
