A more active Holmes would have been a different fight
Mike's W-L vs them is subpar

    The Dark Emperor has
    Holy
    Sam 2x
    Ruiz
    Rahman 2x (?)

After seeing it, their resumes arent't that far apart, which is sad. Mike was a full time HW and his resume is only maybe as good as Toney's
    And no.
No one was ducking Mike and that huge payday.

        That is nonsensical.

James Toney doesn't have wins over Sam Peter, John Ruiz or Hasim Rahman so why are you including those on his resume?

The only Top 10 ranked Heavyweight that Toney beat was a 43 year old shot to pieces Holyfield.

        Top 10 ranked fighters Mike Tyson beat on the other hand;

        Micheal Spinks - #1
        Razor Ruddock x2 - #3
        Frank Bruno - #7
        Bonecrusher Smith - #2
        Pinklon Thomas - #3
        Tony Tucker - #8
        Tyrell Biggs - #10
        Carl Williams - #2

All of the above are better than any win Toney has at HW by a country mile. Let alone all of them.

James Toney's resume at HW is pathetic. In fact, he doesn't even have a "resume" at HW.

            Rankings don't always mean quality
Especially when a div is DEAD

I love to mention Bruce Seldon was once a "champ"
            Let that sink in

Spinks knew that was his last fight and cashed out
            Ruddock was aight

The rest is you naming names.
            Only Mike fans mention them
One of the more overrated boxers OAT
            Strictly eye candy and "potential"

Not sure why Mike gets the props that he does.

            And you are correct, obviously
I mentioned those L's without adding the context.
            They were quality opps

Bloated, uninterested, non prime Toney (AKA the absolute worst version of himself) did admirably.
Toney ate himself up to HW and fought those guys
The reverse and Toney would be undefeated vs them.

Anyway, not going to get caught up in an endless debate loop.
It's my opinion and it won't ever change
And I'm sure that's your stance as well

Ok but you just said a whole load of nothing.

Why did you include Peter, Ruiz and Rahman to Toney’s resume when he beat none of them? Thats 3 of the 4 fighters you named

Yes, Mike Tyson’s 80’s era was weak. Guess what? Toney’s was EVEN WEAKER and yet he still beat ZERO fighters ranked in the Top 5.

How could you possibly argue Toney’s HW resume is better than Tyson’s? That is like saying 1+1=3. It’s that ridiculous.

Every win I just named for Tyson, just by themself, are MILES better than any win Toney had at HW. Let alone the fact there’s another 8 to chose from.

Toney doesn’t even have a resume at HW. He literally has no good wins there.

I wonder why historians, retired boxers, announcers, refs and judges don't call out HOFers with mid to meh resumes.....

Aren't they supposed to be unbiased

And I don't even want to hear the lame AF " 'Hall of FAME', not 'Hall of Greatness', DUH !" excuse.

We all know what the "fame" is supposed to mean.
Famous for having a spectacular resume, DUH !

Ok, and? YOU are the one who comically said “if there is one thing for certain James Toney had a better HW resume than Mike Tyson”

Now it’s “oh Mike Tyson was a full time HW” Err yeah, kind of the entire point why what you said is retarded.

You do know what you said was legit the dumbest thing that’s been said on this forum? You still have time to retract it.
