Floyd never had a string of opps that crappy from the time
he became champ to the time he was still a serious boxer

Diego is in the hall of fame. Same cannot be said of Keith
Wow Pacquiao has fought crappier versions of shared opponents ONE more time than Floyd...call the cops!

Also, you forgot to mention that Manny utterly DESTROYED DLH, Hatton & Cotto whereas Mayweather only stopped Ricky.

As for his other opponents, your argument makes ZERO sense as Manny was 37yo when he defeated Vargas (who was WBO Welterweight champion), 38yo when he got robbed by Horn in a mandatory defence and 39yo when he defeated Matthysse for his WBA Welterweight strap. Name ONE other fighter who's regularly beating champions at almost 40yo? This is a pattern he would later repeat when he defeated Thurman (and more recently with Barrios).

Meanwhile, Mayweather wouldn't DARE take such risks at this stage of his career and prefers fighting YouTuber's in 'safe' exhibition fights!

hell I will even give you the JMM catch weight version vs Floyd was not as dangerous as juiced to the gills 147 JMM that sent Pac to the shadow realm but Cotto? you are wrong
Disagree...Cotto did his best work at Welterweight and was 3 years younger and had only been stopped once (controversially) by MargarCHEATO when he faced Pacquiao whereas Mayweather fought the older, faded version.

Lol multiple retirements, lowball offers & mandatory drug testing (whilst using illegal drips himself) are just some of the tactics Mayweather used to DELAY fighting the best until they were past it.

        Cherry-picking at it's finest!

          1) Meh. Retired in 2007 and again in 2015. Came back and made a financial killing vs McC.
Pac tried to, ONCE AGAIN, follow in May's footsteps, and failed miserably -

"Yes, Manny Pacquiao actively pursued and tried to make a boxing fight happen with Conor McGregor multiple times, with talks starting as early as 2017 and resurfacing in 2020, but the mega-bout never materialized due to issues like contractual problems, management disputes with McGregor's team (Paradigm Sports), and McGregor's own UFC commitments. Pacquiao confirmed he reached out and wanted the fight, even expressing a desire to "shut his mouth," but legal battles and complexities with McGregor's management ultimately derailed the potential crossover event."

          Key Points:
          • Initiation: Pacquiao confirmed he reached out to McGregor's camp for a potential fight, even suggesting an April 2018 date.
          • 2020 Talks: Negotiations seemed serious in 2020, with Pacquiao's team indicating talks were progressing, but the fight stalled.
          • Reason for Failure: The main hurdles were legal issues and contractual disagreements, particularly with McGregor's management company, Paradigm Sports, and UFC President Dana White's objections to McGregor fighting outside the UFC.
          • McGregor's Side: McGregor also expressed interest, but his UFC obligations and a subsequent knockout loss to Dustin Poirier in 2021 seemingly ended the possibility of the Pacquiao fight.
          • Recent Statements: As recently as mid-2025, Pacquiao spoke about how close the fight came to happening before collapsing due to management issues, a sentiment echoing years of unresolved tension.
Pac was super desperate to try and capture the magic that May created

"Immediately after the Clottey fight, negotiations began to pursue a contest against Manny Pacquiao (49–3–2, 38 KOs). Even before Pacquiao defeated Ricky Hatton, Bob Arum, who represents both Cotto and Pacquiao, stated that he was interested in this matchup. Subsequently, Pacquiao expressed interest in fighting Cotto. The fight was sanctioned as a world title fight in the welterweight division, where the weight limit is 147 pounds, however Cotto's camp agreed to fight at a catchweight of 145 pounds to accommodate Pacquiao's smaller physique. Cotto's camp also conceded the larger share of the purse to Pacquiao, who received a 65% share of pay-per-view buys, compared to Cotto's 35% share."

            "Durrrrr.....It was only 2 lbs !!!!"
"Pac would not have fought Cotto at full 147 !"
