Adrien Broner against Maidana comes to mind. Maybe I was convinced he was going win because of his unhealthy confidence. He kept going up in weight and eventually ran into guys he couldn't just walk over. Anyways, he was never the same after that Maidana fight imo.Comment

More recently, Caleb Plant. He did all he could with Benavidez before taking a beating. He started to look shaky with McCumby but fought a disciplined inside game to secure the win, but when he got to Resendiz, an average dude at best, he looked frail and ineffective at everything. Plant was never an amazing fighter but for six or seven rounds, he was often solid. He looked gassed after the first round with Armando.Comment

His cardio has always been a problem. He look absolute gassed out against Benavidez too. My man wasn't doing those 3 mile runs in the morning that every boxer should be.More recently, Caleb Plant. How could any boxer be considered getting old overnight once they reach the age of 30? That’s the time when a fighter’s skills are gradually diminishing and bodies are gradually deteriorating. It’s very subtle but that’s when the aging process is slowly progressing by then.👍 1Comment

I think you'll agree that a peak Tito got beat by Oscar. Oscar's decision to run the last four rounds cost him the fight but other than that, he was befuddling Tito like no tomorrow. A peak Tito got KO'd by a 36 year old Hopkins. So while I do agree that a peak Tito does better, it's only going to be slightly better. 118-110

Peak Tito was about even with Oscar and Hopkins, both very close fights. Winky was an elite operator but can't rate him over Oscar or Hopkins, who handled him.-------------------------------
