Yea Lubin is still shell shocked for the Fundora fight. We've been treated to a good show at 154 the last ten years. But now Lubin is in the same situation as Jarret Hurd, Julian Williams, Tony Harrison, Tim Tyszu and a few others. Time to hang them up Mr Lubin. Thanks for the memories. If Jermell comes back to 154 I have him, Boots, Fundora and Virgil as the four that will challenge for undisputed. It's gonna be fun! PBC and GBP can make this happen!Let’s cut to the chase. Lubin is a ruined fighter at this point of his career. He needs to retire as soon as possible.
In addition, to being chinny; Both his legs, stamina, accuracy and power are all gone now. Which was the reason why Team Ortiz took this fight.
He was never a serious threat to Vergil in the first place.👍 1Comment

This is the outcome I expected. I was so starved for boxing that I watched it anyway. It reminded me of why I watch less boxing these days.Comment

Lubin was never the same after being iced by Charlo all them years ago in a round.. he’s a guy who’s a good level fighter but just not that elite level and his punch resistance is something that’s always been a issue and fights like the fundora fight aswell puts miles on the clock. Ortiz vs Ennis is just the fight to make at 154lbs and it’s a shame there won’t be any full world titles on the line if they do fight next but it’s a fight that really doesn’t need any either but hopefully they can put a deal together and get that fight done for spring time next yearComment

No surprise Lubin was stopped (he always been chinny even before the losses to Charlo & Fundora) but I expected him to last a few more rounds. But Ortiz footwork and intelligent pressure exposed the skill gap between the two and Lubin's chin failed him.👍 2Comment

Not sure if Lubin has really degraded and his chin is worse than ever or Ortiz is just that good.Comment

Funny how Boots never mentions the contract when he’s face to face with OrtizWhat is Hearn talking about? "We signed our side" - what the hell have they signed? It's surely not the actual fight contract because that has to have all the details about where the fight will take place. Likely a meaningless statement of intent. As a general rule - I hate it when promoters say we've signed our side - the fights never happen.
The minute they are interviewed by Dazn , both , SlowEddie and Boots mention it

You got it and I agree. One poster had the audacity of saying that many boxing fans were actually picking Erickson a handpicked opponent to defeat Ortiz.
If that was not about the damnedst thing I've ever heard from a boxing fan then I don't know what is. Of course, Lubin wasn't going to beat Vergil Ortiz because that was the reason why they brought him in the first place.
They were setting him up to fail all along. If any boxing fan did pick Erickson to win; Then they were not real boxing fans and DKSAB. I agree with you about Lubin.
He is now a ruined fighter. Aside from being chinny and shopworn. I expected a much better effort out of him then that. However, I was far from being disappointed by the result though because I expected him to lose.
At the same time. I was very surprised about how shot and uncompetitive he was in this fight. His skills have all but diminished. He is now damaged goods and needs to retire as soon as possible; For his own health and well-being.
His body has shut down.Comment

No! It's because the "Booty" man can fight and is a very dangerous opponent who could give Ortiz his very first loss; When and if they ever decide or choose to fight him. So watch out for Jaron the "Booty" man Ennis! He is in the house
