Do you think the 'Joseph Parker' stoppage against 'Fabio Wardley' in the 11th Round was an unjustified stoppage?

Parker should've held/taken a knee/threw more back...had he done ANY of those things he probably would've survived until the end of the fight and won a decision as he was already ahead on the scorecards.

I actually wrote the same thing in the live fight thread...Parker maybe up but you can't write Wardley off because Huni was ahead too and he took him out at the death. Talk about deja vu!

Does it really matter? Parker was on the verge of being stopped in the previous round anyhow. So it was just a mater of time before the inevitable would have happened. He was weakening and fatiguing. If he would have survived the 11th then he was not going to survive the 12th.

It's some kind of hysteria to think a fight needs to be stopped simply because a guy is throwing a bunch of wide sloppy punches in bunches that aren't landing. Its like are people simply impressed by someone flapping around akin to a shiny object? Look at him go! Oh hes not landing this is awkward...

He wasn't landing so why would Parker feel the need to give away a point? Just slip the shots in tbe moment and regroup. Smart. Fighters who are done dont show that defensive prowess. Floyd Mosley was 10 times worse than this. Floyd covering up snd slipping. Mosley would have a ko win over Floyd if foster was ref. What a strange world. This shows the importance of having a friendly ref doesn't it oh and this same ref helped wardley in the past. Trustworthy
He definitely got hurt. Parker's head snapped back violently multiple times. But that's not the point. This is boxing. Everyone knows that the expectation from the ref is if you're not throwing back, you're defenseless - and they will stop the fight.

Throw back, take a knee, or clinch. Those are options.
