Lol I just watched the final part of the fight again and counted 15 clean punches landed by Wardley to the head and body. In comparison, Parker only threw 2 punches which both missed. Anyway, whilst I definitely agree that Parker PROBABLY could've continued, he didn't help matters by staying on his feet and failing to clinch or reply with punches himself. Don't forget that the referee had already seen him staggered several times during the fight which would've impacted his decision.
Do you think the 'Joseph Parker' stoppage against 'Fabio Wardley' in the 11th Round was an unjustified stoppage?

Don’t forget that the referee was Foster who is known for this sh/t

Not his first rodeo
Just wondering how much he got for this oneComment

Haha yeah Foster doesn't have a great track record and personally I would've let the fight continue as Parker was still on his feet. However, this is Heavyweight boxing and he had already been staggered several times plus he failed to clinch or take a knee (or return fire) which would've influenced Foster's decision.Comment

The fact you have to justify it , is already sense of worry

Had this been stateside , the site would be overwhelmed with conspiracy theories etc etc etcComment

Lol I didn't like the stoppage either but can understand it given it was the 11th round plus Parker's actions (or lack of).
However, they definitely need to run it back at some point given all the controversy.Comment

Foster wasn't saving Parker , more like him guaranteeing his payout
And mark my words , there won’t be any running it backComment

Agreed but you have to admit that Parker was a damn FOOL for not taking a knee? At the absolute minimum he should've clinched and probably would've seen out the fight and won on the scorecards.
As for a rematch, I can see it on a Riyadh Season undercard down the line after Wardley gets obliterated by Usyk.Comment

Maybe a little early but not as bad as alot of posters are making it seem, he was hurt and in trouble not throwing back with the ropes holding him up.👍 1Comment

I just rewatched it, Parker barely threw anything that entire round and the referee was watching closely. I don't have an issue with the stoppage.Comment

Its really on Parker didn't throw, didn't hold, stumbling around but Wardley is the opposite of a hard luck fighter I'll say that. This was a decent upset win for him, there was no reason for Parker to take this fight.👍 1Comment
