Fury is probably still the second best heavyweight but TBRB decided to take him at his word when he said he was retired, same as they did in 2023.

It's a ranking rather than an assessment of ability. I'd have both Joshua and Fury ahead of Parker but that's not an option if they're not fighting.

He got his ranking by beating Wilder, Zhang and Bakole. I'm certain that there are other fighters (eg the ones you've mentioned) in the division who could have done that... but they didn't and Parker did.

You can only rank fighters on the fights they take.

But actual fans, who can see him box, know that Bakole was in on hours notice, with no training, no gloves, no sleep. Saw Parker struggling with Zhang etc. should not have been ranking him number 2 and demanding he gets Usyk.

Complete mismatch. Anyone should have been able to see that.
