It's not just about handling alcohol, it is what it does to your body. Yes, even one drink of alcohol can be bad for you because any amount of alcohol increases health risks, particularly the risk of certain cancers. Some research indicates that even low levels of alcohol consumption (less than one drink per day) can raise the risk for conditions like breast cancer and other cancers, and recent studies show that even small amounts may have negative cognitive effects. While some older studies suggested potential health benefits, more recent and robust research finds that the health risks of alcohol, which are caused by its toxic properties and the acetaldehyde it metabolizes into, outweigh any potential benefits

I am 6 years sober. I come from a long line of alcoholics. I do drink non alcoholic beers time to time but I haven't touched the real stuff in 6 years.Last edited by MalevolentBite; Yesterday, 07:03 PM.Comment

From John L. Sullivan's time, yiubalso had a guy named Young Griffo who they said had uncanny defense and was basically unhittable even from close range. They said he would place one foot on a small cloth and offer money to anyone who could hit him, and he wouldn't move his foot off the cloth and he would dodge every punch. And he was a raging drunk and often fought after a long night of drinking and even be drunk during fights.Comment
