You posted a very similar article to this two days ago, Tom. These promoter wars are boring and do nothing to progress the sport.

If Dana has his provincial closed shop promotion then there will be no 'rivalry' to speak of. I don't really understand the hysterics about the Muhammad Ali Act as there have been barely disguised alliances between promoters and the four corrupt sanctioning bodies for decades.

Let's focus on the actual fights these middle aged egotists put together rather than their favourite pastime of talking about themselves, shall we?

Even if the Muhammad Ali Act was amended this business model will not last. Boxing is too well established to start changing all the rules.

Free agency and open markets has always been a staple of the sport of boxing. Fighters have always been self-employed and in charge of their own careers.

The ancillaries typically work for the fighters. Not the fighters work for the ancillaries. I will say this though. If fighters do decide to join Zuffa please create a union.

Its all just sour gr@pes from Eddie because Turki has partnered up with a much more powerful player than him.

Hearn is also deluding himself with all this "global promoter" bollocks, the UFC is the only genuinely global combat sports promotion, Matchroom is nothing. These delusions have caused him to let what was once a pretty strong grasp on the UK market, one that seemed like it would never end, slip, and now Frank is on top.

They should do Dana Vs Hearn in a white collar boxing bout. I reckon they'd be similar weight with Hearn being so tall and White being roided to the gills. And they can both box a little bit.

Why compete, do your thing. There's one person who's not competing with either, who works with anyone, Turki.

The boxers just go where they can get paid the best, end of story.
