Arslankbek Makhmudov had the name of only one man on his lips following his victory over the astonishingly durable Dave Allen

I think AJ KO's Makhmudov. He is tailor made for AJ.

I would argue Vianello deserves it more, but Makhmudov just wide decisioned a UK fave and is totally beatable. Joshua vs Makhmudov makes the most all around sense. Mak won't beat Joshua, but Vianello MIGHT.

The neanderthal will get splatted by AJ if he's got anything left.

AJ does seemingly does well with tall opponents and not only that Makhmudov moves like he's wading through treacle.

Though his power could make it compelling watching.

I agree with you. The Vianello fight was a strange watch. I know his opponent was a flash record without credibility but jeez he went up.the gears fast. I would like Kabayel to get a Usyk shot...but i sense Vianello has turned into an animal who might just jump out of the pack. Makhmudov on the other hand showed some sublime skills against an opponent who although he didnt really try....would likely have taken a worse beating if he actually did.

The bold is a hard no. Makhmudov has heavy feet but AJ is not really a ballet dancer or trap setter. What he is known for is being easily discouraged. Mak has fast hands and if he peppered AJ like he did Allen then AJ would be looking to quit somewhere around rounds 4 or 5.

Makhmudov should take Joshua fight if he can get it.

Apart from that, he belongs to Clarke and Adeleye level. That is the level he should be fighting.

                or Joyce.

If Allen is right about the neanderthals power, he'd likely like send AJ to the moon.

Allen said he's the hardest he's ever been hit, the natural assumption would be David Price hit him the hardest.

And given that Price put him flat on his (AJ) face in 16-20oz gloves it's crazy to think what an allegedly more heavy handed guy would do to him in 10oz.

Potentially the first time we see Joshua out cold, snoring on the canvas.

You have to be able launch your missiles and Mak should get beaten to the draw time and time again. He also was rocked badly by Allen in the 9th round if that was Joshua it's lights out.
