Vergil will go to 160 and continue to be avoided by anyone with a belt. The Ring Belt used to be the only one that I considered legit. I do not know if that is still the case. For now I will just continue to trust my own judgement on who the best is in any given weight class. It is weird that a fighter like Vergil doesn't have a belt especially when you consider some of the guys that do. How much of that is Ortiz's managements fault or is it a lot of never being in the right place at the right time ? I do think that Vergil would beat most if not all of the belt holders in the weight classes that he has fought in.

well he had a chance to fight for a belt at 154 and turned it down when he could have then had unifications and big fights as a belt holder

fundora is busy with his stuff and boots ennis is his mando i think, what does ortiz expect people to do just drop everything and fight him lol

there is a tried and tested way to a title shot which works a fair bit in boxing, u make yourself mando and then the title holder has to fight u or vacate

i have no sympathy for him whatsover, hes got good fights recently and got the rub of the green in a close one where he was dropped twice and is complaining like this and turning down title fights, wow hard to believe

the arrogance of this guy is unbelievable, he was sent a contract for the bakram fight but snubbed his nose at it saying he didnt like the sanctioning bodies ibf clause where they weighed him the morning of the fight & said he would sign it if that was removed lol, well go petition the ibf yourself ortiz if thats how u want to go, what do u expect the russian to do he has to abide by the rules himself, u are going for the wrong belt so and u knew the clause was there all along as well

and on top of all of that hes threatening to go to a division which for a long time has been notorious for its inactivity and getting belt holders to fight each other, 154 is a hot division, 160 is not

Is there a source for Ortiz turning down the ibf belt due to the second day weigh-in?
