You know this is something I always hear about fighters, but I think we have to look at the nuances with situations like these and not just count pro fight totals. What I mean by that, is how much more wear and tear did Canelo (in this instance, but this argument can be made for any fighter) take in his extra pro fights?
For example, in his 30th professional fight, Canelo got a 1st rd KO victory over Carlos Leandro Herrera, earning him the WBC youth welter weight title. Crawford's 30th pro fight was his KO win over John Molina as he defended his unified JWW title (actual recognized champion) he unified one fight earlier against Postol.
I write this just to ask how much extra wear and tear was it for a fighter who had a very busy schedule on the way up against guys he was basically KOing early on?
I agree that context needs to be examined when looking at longer careers/more fights or mileage on a fighter. Canelo's three fights with GGG were not on the level of Hagler/Hearns, but they did trade some bombs. Taking Golovkin's best punches for 36 rounds can take it's toll. Moving up to take best punches of Kovalev and Bivol, a give and take distance fight with Cotto, toss in Mosley, Kirkland, Jacobs, Munguia and Berlanga and he was in there with some good hitters. Granted some were past prime or not in his league but still had good power. Sometimes having a great chin can be a detriment. Bud's style and often being the bigger man in the ring means he didn't take as much wear and tear. Canelo appeared to age overnight despite having a good training camp. All credit still goes to Crawford for a very solid victory, but there is more than what we see on the surface.
I draw the same comparison to Floyd/Manny. While Floyd was older by two years, Manny had 17 more fights than Floyd. Those 17 fights included wars with Barrera, Morales, JMM, Cotto, Margarito, Rios, all guys who can b@ng. He had been KO'd 3x in his career prior to Floyd. Measure that against Floyd who was again usually the bigger man, fought a very defensive and careful style, didn't get into very many exchanges and he was far more preserved and youthful and fresh despite having two years on Manny. In essence, Manny was the "older" fighter.

TBud came out with a mexican musical instrument to troll Saul
Same as Floyd wearing the taco hat for the Oscar fight
No, you misunderstand me. I watched the fight live. He came out with the song used in “Desperado”. It no longer plays that during his ring walk when you watch the ring walk on Netflix. They muted it and slapped on some generic music on it. It doesn’t hit the same.
On topic: Bud is THAT DUDE.
All those years Tim Bradley telling people that Bud was on another level have paid off. lol
I completely disagree on that, by the way. They were both clearly past it but Pacquiao is fortunate that was Barrios. He looked slightly better than what we expected…but nowhere near in shape or as sharp as Floyd was even when he was detached from the sport fighting McGregor.

good thing for TBud Saul was there live and heard TBud walking out to burrito music
Timmeh went as far as saying TBud would stop Saul. Saul's legs wanted to fold in the final 10 seconds of the fight from a counter southpaw sweeping left
in the 15 round days Saul would have been ko'd
