This loss will have hurt Nel o ego. A rematch where Nel o does better might ease the hurt

Spence, Tim Tyszu, Wilder were all pretty bad in recent years. Juan Manuel López lost was bad too.

Favorite losses to rematch. Trinidad to Hopkins. Margarito to Mosley.

I didn't expect him to lose almost every round in the way that he did. Bud is 38 ffs and was moving up 2 weight classes, practically 3 since the fight before was 147, and he was bullying Canelo like he was the bigger fighter. At least when Canelo lost to Floyd, Floyd is the goat, and Bivol was bigger and extremely skilled.

I can't think of a huge star like Canelo losing the way he did last week. I'm still just shocked. Respect to Bud.
You're being overly dramatic...firstly, it was a CLOSE fight (116-112 & 115-113 on 2 scorecards) plus many people had Crawford as the p4p #1 going into the fight. Therefore, there's NO shame in losing a close fight to the best fighter in the world.

Also, although younger, Canelo's been in the game longer and had 25 more pro fights against BETTER opposition so was bound to start losing at some point (like Chavez).

Yes it can't be too embarrassing when so many picked bud to win. Bud called Nelo out, as it's obvious bud only did that when bud knew he'd had a long time to prepare for Nel o and was ready for nelo

in post fight presser Saul admitted to his body not responding to what he needed it to do

boxing is incredibly forgiving towards losses taken when past prime going onto washed

he didnt mean that hes devastated

he should have just gone out on his sword v benny like boxing is supposed to work but he demanded 150 to 200 mil for that fight & sold his titles in the end to smaller bud for 100 mil, good riddance to him i say, in the process hes embarrassed himself and elevated bud beyond his imagining all in one fight, nice

It wasn’t really that much of a shock. I don’t think it’s a super embarrassing loss for Canelo I just think he’s clearly past his best.

Canelo can’t string combos together. He loads up. Not as fast. His defense is still pretty solid. But he just fights in spurts cuz he never had a high gas tank to begin with, so he boxes conservatively now.

I picked Bud to win based on his higher skill set and most everyone who knows and understands boxing could see the decline in Canelo for years now. Canelo’s always struggled with high skilled boxers who have good footwork and good jabs.

Canelo wasn’t even a heavy favorite going into it and no one expected Canelo was just gonna walk through Bud.

Yep, Saul is boo-hooing all the way to the bank! Meanwhile, if Crawford only made 10 million as I heard, he should be going, "Hey, wait a minute!"
