Did Crawford vs Canelo kill boxing as the haters predicted?

Haters said Turki is killing boxing with fights like Crawford vs Canelo because Canelo was going to walk through Crawford in the exhibition. Were they right?

Live viewership Crawford vs Alverez certainly speaks otherwise. Terence Crawford's win against Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez to become the undisputed super-middleweight champion attracted a total of 41.4 million live viewers.

You see, very few people would fail to make the distinction between childhood games like futball (soccer), basketball, cricket, baseball, American football, etc., and adult combat sports. That, and the aspect of our being upright creates is embedded in our DNA. For these reasons; Boxing will always thrive, and it's heroes remembered.

When Boxing dies, all the other sports will have died off generations before.

Its too late now. They've just signed a 7 year deal with Paramount. Apparently Netflix only wanted the monthly numbered cards which killed the deal.
