Haters said Turki is killing boxing with fights like Crawford vs Canelo because Canelo was going to walk through Crawford in the exhibition. Were they right?
Did Crawford vs Canelo kill boxing as the haters predicted?

Boxing has been "dead" or "dying" for probably 100 years. It's still here. And it's not going anywhere.👍 2 -
No.
However, the 1:00am start time on the East Coast ( I am in NJ) was just f-cking ridiculous.
The main event should’ve started at 10:00pm EST to maximize viewership.👍 1Comment

That would have put the start time of the main event @ 7pm, which is virtually impossible with the undercards.Comment

I mean in its heyday an afternoon card was always packed. Just a few weeks ago AEW did an afternoon card for pro wrestling that went over well with fans.

Sometimes the biggest, most anticipated fights fail to live up to the hype. Oscar/Trinidad, Floyd/Manny, Wlad/Fury, but this one wasn't that bad. No sparks, no drama, neither of them got hit with anything big. It was a chess match and Bud won. He was always the better more nuanced boxer, and for those incorrectly saying he had to gain weight for this fight, he walks around over 180 pounds and spars with cruisers and heavyweights.
Canelo looked old and slow, befuddled by Crawford's movement and combinations. Despite being younger, he does have about 25 more pro fights to his resume which adds to the wear and tear and can age a fighter more quickly than birthdays. Some fighters just age overnight and Canelo appeared to have lost a step. Still a great win for Bud. Too many casuals want to see novelty fights and exhibitions, most of which are awful, so I'm not sure why they are complaining.👍 1Comment

It didn`t help either. The fight was far from being great. canelo is pretty much done.
I expected Canelo to win. Crawford surprised me, but the fact how Canelo declined surprised me much more.👍 1Comment

The undercards are not that important. The main event is. Mbilli v Martinez at 9:00pm est would be fine. More people get to see guys they don’t know.
