What happened to Canelos power?

I have to ask the question.

I remember when he was cracking Billy Joes skull with a single shot, and he had this monster power.

Now he can't even get the respect of a small boned 140lb fighter, Crawford even said Canelo doesn't hit very hard at all and Canelo DID land clean on him more than once.

Where is the power, we need to know?

He was never a thudding, concussive type of puncher. And now that he loads up and telegraphs his punches, guys are able to anticipate and brace for his shots better. He also didn't become known to be a puncher until he started wearing his own gloves, coincidentally.

remember bivol withstood beters shots who is a big puncher and bivol says canelo does hit hard with his single shots but id say his power is on the wane but bivol and bud are solid guys who can take a shot

He has power but the higher divisions flattered it because these bigger guys are pretty meh and he has faster hands than them and they don't see it coming as well.
Someone like Bud will see those big telegraphed slaps coming a mile away, his punch variety these days is extremely limited as is his output.

Size don't win fights, skills do.

Canelo has some power but when Crawford disrupts his timing, that power is diminished. Joshua, for instance, has more than enough power to KO Usyk but he couldn't deliver.
