I would find it interesting to see him fight either Mbilli or Martinez if there is anything left after their war.
Both threw way more than twice as much as Canelo. Not saying they would win but they would put more pressure on Bud.

So long ago when I was a young g man, I was the same height as Mike Tyson but I could easily make 135 & even 130 at a push.

My point is that height/weight isn't automatically an advantage unless you make it your advantage. Play to your strengths and accommodate your weaknesses.

Look at Nick Ball, 5'2" and competing at feather. Knows how to use his (lack of) height to his advantage. Forces opponents to adjust to him rather than vica versa.

Just more tears for my cup and I'll savor each and every single one of them.. slowly.
Well they can have fun with that one because there is no way Crawford will ever fight a Benavidez, Bivol, Beterbiev, Sheeraz, Berlanga, Callum Smith or Munguia for that matter. Those guys have very limited appeal and exposure.

In addition, those fights are not worth anywhere near the risk and reward that a Canelo fight brought Terence. I can see Bud fighting only one more time and that is with Canelo. That's If he wants a shot at regaining his title belts again.

Then Bud would happily oblige him but from his own words; He won't be fighting at 154 again or at 175 ever. He just defeated the face of boxing for crying aloud!

There is no one left to fight who is a bigger cash cow or Draw than a Canelo.

Terence Crawford weighed in at 153.4lb v Madrimov and struggled.

Against Canelo he weighed 167.5lb, a full stone heavier, and ran the show.

That would seem to indicate that bigger is better.

I think it indicates that styles make fights. Madrimov is an underrated, difficult styled fighter.

Crawford is bigger, Canelo is heavier. Skill and long reach definitely help Crawford and what impressed me more he was never hurt, Great Chin.

The problem is this is said and then casuals get a hold of those words and you have every Tom, ****, and. Harry saying it and the truth gets lost in translation. It's never ever been true. It's a factor of course but by no means is there any basis to believe this is the case. If it were we wouldn't have any two and three and four division champions and Tyson Fury would never have lost his title to a former cruiserweight. This nonsense will perpetually be repeated nevertheless the next time we have a fighter moving up. It'll lead to the next asinine boxing saying everyone says but doesn't understand the meaning to "swim without gettin' wet" I wish to God Nazeem had never said this to Bernard because now we have to many idiots running around repeating it like they're some boxing genius.
"Weight class exist for a reason" is damn true.

But you have to put things into context.

                1. Canelo is a small 168 pounder while Bud was huge in the lower weight classes.

Canelo has been at some point in his career a welterweight, and quite for a while a champion at 154.
He's not a natural 168 pounder like let's say Andre WARD, let alone a big 168 pounder like Morell or Benavidez.

                2. Styles make fights.

Most people who know boxing knew Bud was all wrong for Canelo.

                3. " A good man beat always a good man"

Yes, but Bud is not just a good man, he was P4P number 1 for a reason, he's a better boxer than Canelo and he looks more in his prime despite the age, Canelo has been looking meh since the bivol loss and has not stopped anybody for a while.

Bud is better and fresher so let's not put them on the same level.

Again and to make myself clear, that fact doesn't take shine off Crawford victory. Credit where its due.
                  No shame in picking Canelo.

Nobody knew how good Bud would carry the weight at 168.

Regarding Canelo he had not been fighting elite fighters since Bivol (GGG and CHarlo are elite fighters but GGG was way too old in their third fight and Charlo was a 154 pounder),
so it was hard to tell where he was.

I've always been a Bud guy ever since his fight with Ricky Burns all those years ago and would love for him to retire with all that Money and enjoy.
How did you see 115-113 I felt I was generous in scoring it 117-111?

Bud needs to fight benavides or bivol to really show size don't matter. Because Nel o and bud too similar in dimensions. Bud just left it late to.move up because of cautiousness. Even Nel o was cautious moving up.
