Boxing fans are rooting for fighters who share the same hue, ethnicity, culture and look like them. This fight was never about race but many boxing pundits and fans alike have made it about to be.

The people who were supporting Canelo were biased and largely non-black. They always knew that Bud was the better and overall fighter but they were rooting for Canelo anyway; Simply because they wanted Crawford to lose.

i believe that a lot of Canelo fanboys were just being both obstinate and unreasonable in their predictions. Not all of them but most of them were.
Boxing was always rooted in racism and cultural ties. Atleast in America. This goes back to Jack Johnson. This been going on before we were even born.

Is it sad ? Yea. Will it change? i doubt it.

        exactly

let not pretend that ethnic tribalism does not exist

there's a reason why so many white teenie boppers declare Usyk better than Ali lol

or why a segment of blacks called Jaron sellout for sparring with Saul rofl

I cannot blame the La Razans because it was Mexican Independence Day and it just so happened that one of the fighters were of Mexican descent.

if I was Chicano I would feel the exact same way by rooting for Canelo too. However, as far as the other White Latinos, Asians and Caucasians rooting for Canelo to defeat Bud Crawford simply because of the color of his skin are concerned.

          Fuck all of yoose!

Now they are a sad shell of what they once were. They got dismissed for the 2nd lowest score in history earlier this year by Australia.

canelo fans were cornered, they claimed ggg was never robbed, that bivol was just too big, that benny didnt deserve his shot, was too big & was disrespectful to their man, but now smaller bud has come along and put the final nail in this coffin

However, I'm not discounting the fact that there were many different types of slave owners or the fact that slaves were used for different purposes. However, in GENERAL, the biggest, strongest and fittest slaves were bought and then interbred for generations leading to physical and athletic advantages which corroborates the Michael Johnson documentary (just like how dogs and horses are selectively bred for racing).

                    Anyhow, let's agree to disagree.
This is speculation on your part. I am giving you facts. The sl@ves taken were usually gaunt malnourished and or a victim of war, teenagers, captured neighbors, women and kids.....

Do you not know they have studies for this, anyone can look up. 25% of all sl@ves in the trans Atlantic trade were kids (look it up for yourself don't rely on my word) Europeans taking the biggest africans is a Television myth. The biggest africans had an agreement with Europeans to sell themselves out as long as they gave them sugar salt flour material stuff.

Also slave breeding was for numbers not athletic ability or to be bigger.

athletic ability and being bigger was the result of working all day and night for hundreds of years growing up in a culture where your body has to adapt to the harsh circumstances generationally......Black americans success in sports is not attributed to "slave breeding" thats ridiculous. i told u I can easily find africans that are bigger stronger then black americans but they still suck in sports. Black americans are just tenacious people.......
