Dogs killing rabbits doesn't sound that crazy. Was he rabbit baiting or having them roam freely while the dogs killed them ?

I let me dogs catch wild rabbits, ground dogs etc. Now if he was rabbits baiting then Yea thats a blood sport which is illegal.

Towers- just reading up that level of abuse is unreal. i knew of his crimes before but you felt that he was a big guy who was drafted as being a 'big guy'. found his way through boxing aaaand..no he is a reclusive loner that has decided to take out all his hate and anger and take it out on his new family.

BJS- nasty, indulgent, animal abuse. some will say something about tradition. which is only a tradition because it was in Snatch. like is he with his media presence going to go on camera and talk about the unfair treatment of travellers? is he going to promote education in the community which has always struggled with the nomadic lifestyle where state education isn't available to those with a differing lifestyle? NOPEEEE gonna record and set my dogs on small animals.

Covid destroys your income. then your mate of sorts gives you an idea and you are now having to live a double life. foolish. he is...was one of the better more successful trainers in the land. he had it. and he threw it away. and yeah...greed by the end. a really rubbish scarface story.

So basically, Saunders with a group of his buddies used hunting dogs to poach Hares in a restricted area in Lincolnshire farmland. Saunder's long term girlfriend who he has two sons with, finally confessing how badly treated she was by Billy Joe.

Apparently the Brown Hare are endangered species so it is a protected species, so there are not benefits to the rest of members of the same species if hunted. Much less getting abused to death to be filmed by Saunder's entertainment.

I have nothing against professional hunting for those who have it a hobby/profession, when well-regulated and well managed, it can offer several benefits to ecosystems and wildlife conservation. It's important to differentiate professional hunting (legal and licensed) from poaching or illegal hunting, which is highly damaging to an entire species and ecosystem.

Just as an example like Hunting Deer, Duck or Wild Boar. By hunting those, you make the populations of those species develop habits that helps preserve them from avoiding certain territories, not to let them use all their resources (food/water) and let the younger individuals to thrive. Also take in mind, that multiple predators from thousands of years ago are either extinct now or their population has been diminished to a big degree. It also helps the carnivore animals to know which territories the prey will likely be around.

Saunders brought packs of dogs just to see them maul the Hares to death just for the entertainment of the unnecessary blood sport. It's not like Saunders is poor if he can afford to get multiple hunting dogs, he could had done something else. He likely wouldn't had used the meat/pelt of the Hares.

I personally wouldn’t hunt hares with hounds or foxes with hounds and horses. I also wouldn’t have sex with another man or take ******* again (I think it is well over-rated). That doesn’t mean I think we must have laws stopping other people doing those things. We do need laws against men brutalising and threatening their wives and children. So I have no difficulty saying Towers is the one that deserved nick.
