Munguia, Berlanga, Scull, Charlo and Ryder all got a shot against Canelo when Benavides was the most credible and lucrative opponent. Now with the business of boxing we are getting Crawford/Canelo that no one asked for but has a big financial backing.

There are no other super lucrative fights for Canelo other than rematching Bivol or Turki paying a fortune for a Sheeraz fight, another underserving fighter. Regardless Canelo will get paid a ton of money no matter who is the opponent.

Fans should have put more pressure on Benavidez Canelo and Turki im sure would have thrown money at that instead. But it got to a point where Bud Canelo sadly got more social media hype than Benavidez Canelo to the point the fight got made. Because the 'casual fan' is the bigger market and they are the ones who got caught up into the Bud Canelo hype because of their names
Absolute rubbish. There was far more demand for Canelo v Benavidez for years. Everyone was talking about it, Benavidez was being interviewed on ESPN by Stephen A Smith, which is mainstream. The Bud fight is just an after thought that most never wanted and still don't but its the best option available. Canelo was faced with tremendous pressure but he simply did not care. Turki is on the record that Canelo does not want to fight Benavidez and hopes one day to convince him. Stop making excuses for Canelo's cowardice.

and isnt the fight that should be taking place is bivol-benavidez, ?? where is bivol by the way?? did he ever provide proof of his injury like they requested?

but again, because benavidez only operates under the specter of canelo, ppeople still think hes a super middleweight.
          ———-

The last 5 guys that Canelo fought are
          1. Scull
          2. Berlanga
          3. Munguia
          4. Charlo and
          5. Ryder

Do these guys “without the Specter of Canelo motivate fans”?

Because “Those five names only operate under the specter of canelo, ppeople still think they are super middleweight contenders”, yes?

          Those are YOUR words.

Benavidez was a not only super middleweight when Canelo was fighting those, he was also Canelo’s mandatory AND yet Canelo openly ducked him. There is literally nothing to defend. I am speaking as a Canelo fan.
I don’t think Crawford beats Canelo but I hope he does. I hope he embarrasses the shǐt out of him. Hopefully Canelo retires right after. The man has become a joke.

Unfortunately the case remains that Canelo did indeed duck Benavidez and that will remain with him into retirement the reality is he doesn’t give a f***. The unfortunate situation with boxing is it’s a business and Canelo has fought his way to a point where he can do what he wants and his supporters will follow him regardless. There’s a strong case Canelo would have beaten Benavidez but he has gotten to a point where those risks simply don’t interest him anymore and it’s the unfortunate reality of the sport. In saying that I’m looking forward to this weekend and Benny has done great things already at 175 and will continue to do so.

It’s Ok Benavidez fans. Crawford is gonna to whoop this coward’s ass anyway. His ducking of the “Mexican Monster” is both shameful and disgusting.

For a man who claims that Bud can’t fight, too small and and hasn’t beaten no one; So why in the Hell he is training so hard in order to defeat him then?

He is bringing in Jaron Boots Ennis to prep for Crawford? It just so happens to be the first time in eight years he has actually prepared for a fight through sparring.

What I just cannot understand is how so many La Razans and Chicanos are still riding so hard for Canelo?

All the other all-time great Mexican warriors never ducked anyone. However, he is openly ducking Benavidez.

It’s almost like they are saying that they are proud of their hero being a coward. Whatever happened to Mexican Pride and honor?

Switching goal posts is weak form of defense. It’s for shallow people.
Canelo’s last 5 opponents were not better than the mandatory guy that Canelo RAN away from.

When you deflect to discredit Benny’s resume, what you are actually saying is that Berlanga, Scull, Charlo, Ryder and Munguia have better resumes AND that’s why Canelo cherry-picked them instead of fighting Benny.
You are saying a guy coming up from 154 Ibs was a better opponent for Canelo.

I bet if Canelo had fought Ricardo Mayorga, you would have said he was better than Benny

More than likely he would loose in worse fashion but it is a lucrative fight.

Wrong. I have not made excuses I don't want to see Bud Canelo mismatch. Canelo should have fought Benavidez. Casual fans wanted Bud Canelo is whati thought initially but now you look at the reaction lots of boxing fans are picking Bud to win inc ex boxer media etc. More people are going to watch this mismatch then the amount of people that would have watched Canelo Benavidez
