I don't blame Turki he is the so called 'casual fan' so when he sees people talk about Bud Canelo then the hype built he went to make that fight. Fans should have put more pressure on Benavidez Canelo and Turki im sure would have thrown money at that instead. But it got to a point where Bud Canelo sadly got more social media hype than Benavidez Canelo to the point the fight got made. Because the 'casual fan' is the bigger market and they are the ones who got caught up into the Bud Canelo hype because of their names
If the rule makers actually enforced their rules the best would fight the best to become champion and remain champion. Marketability is great for the fighters and sport but becoming champion IS THE SPORT...and anything less and it's no longer a sport, it's purely entertainment, no more, no less. I don't blame Bud Canelo fans, they're caught up in the fight because it appears to be the only semi competitive fight Canelo has offered in years. Oddly enough, I don't blame Canelo either, he understands the cops on the beat are corrupt and he's just working the system.

Turki pays for fights with opponents the branded fighter would rather not compete with and that's great for the fans but it does absolutely nothing to fix the fundamental problem.

If you look closely, what is happening in boxing, is simultaneously happening in America.

I agree obviously the 4 organisations are also at fault. WBC are the worst. If they wanted they could have demanded purse bids but they do what suits them and the fighters they favour

            Benny's best win is Plant
Plant lost because Nelo stole his soul.

            Rate Benny's resume
His last fan wasn't able to

Benny's best win is Plant.....because Canelo blatantly ducked him to face lesser threats.

It would be different if Canelo fought harder guys instead of him. He didn't.

Benavidez has no one to blame but himself. Losing his title by missing weight. Getting popped for that nose candy. If he was more disciplined he would have been in a much stronger position go get the fight he wants most.

Fact is Canelo doesn’t need that fight. He’s a made man and will make more fighting Crawford than he would for Benavidez. Benny was fighting on Tank’s undercard recently. He’s not a draw.

I think business is picking up for DB; just needs 1-2 to build that groundswell again. And even if the Canelo fight doesn't happen, he would have built up some nice names by then. So he's doing what detractors have been asking for.

Branching off outside of the PBC, taking a fight against Yarde under UK ausp1ces is a nice move imo.
