You have a pretty low threshold for a "trash" legacy if you think Thurman's is trash.
Is Spence's legacy trash, too? Didn't fight Floyd or PacMan (scheduled to, but didn't). Fought Bud. Got destroyed.

Btw, who is the 4th "best WW of his generation?" he missed out on? Top 4 would include Thurman (unified titlist), so he can't fight himself.

Thurman kept telling Spence he had to earn the right to fight him. That was done after Spence broke Brook. When Boots asked, he said he didn’t know who Boots was! Porter fought Crawford, Thurman didn’t even try! Crawford’s legacy is solid, going from 135 to 154. Could’ve been better had he fought PAC when they were both with TR. If he beats Canelo, he becomes Legendary!!!

I don't think Spence's legacy is better than Thurman's. I'd say they're equal. But, once Thurman beats Fundora and is a two-weight champ, he'll have jumped Spence.

Crawford's legacy is legit, of course. I was just trying to make a point about his WW legacy, which I think is legit as well (PacMan was definitely steered clear of Bud when they were both with TR). WHEN Bud beats Canelo his legacygoes to another level.

I favor Ortiz as well, but Lubin has a real shot.

I agree with Oscar about the IBF 10 lb rehydration clause. It's not ideal for many fighters, probably especially those who've dealt with rhabdomyolysis.

And Jonas is right, too, for choosing this fight over Murtazaliev. They're prizefighters after all. His reasoning is sound.

I don't like that 10lb rehydration clause either. If you hit the weight at the weigh in , whatever happens with the weight after that should not be anyones business. I don't think that it is healthy to keep a guy dehydrated for an extended period. It has got to be a huge impediment during the fight to start it off dehydrated already. I'm not a Neurologist but I don't believe that it is good for the brain either. Fluid provides some level of protection for the brain in my opinion ( which could be wrong).

Bakhram getting alot of hype based off that one win against Tszyu. The Chechen fighter struggled with an ancient Culcay in his only other noteworthy fight and went the distance with Valenzuela (who was stopped by Zayas and Alexis Rocha).

Maybe that win against Tszyu says more about Timmy than it does about Bakhram.

Very good point. Tszyu walked to Murtazaliev with his hands down , chin in the air and expecting him to fall down just from looking at him. He was asking to get K.O'd. Good win for Murtazaliev but in my opinion not nearly enough to proclaim him to be some sort of bogeyman.

That's a really good question , it's surprising especially since I see him as the winner vs just about anyone at 47 and 54. No cherry picking necessary.

I’ll never get passed Thurman’s excuses for not fighting Spence and Boots, so I’m just biased, but if he beats Fundora, I’ll give him his props.
