It may be a 'win-win' for Itauma but it's a lose-lose for Usyk. If Usyk wins he simply won't get any credit because Itauma is too young.
But that's what these promoters are hoping for, to catch Usyk on the slip. Usyk will be 39 soon. Although Itauma is inexperienced he still very quick, athletic and powerful. Things like that matter most at Heavyweight, especially.

I hope Usyk doesn't give them that satisfaction. I hope he retires before the boxing game beats him like it beats most.
Another thing he can do is move back down to Cruiserweight. He won't have to worry about the politics of boxing down there and it gives him another chance of undisputed again. Plus, it has some great names in Opetaia & Zurdo and I think the Light-Heavyweights would be willing to move up to face him (Bivol, Beterbiev, Benavidez). That's if he wants to fight a little longer though.

if I were his advisor I would tell him to fight Parker, Opetaia and then a farewell fight against someone like Wilder. Wilder is past it but it would be a farewell fight and it's not like Usyk is a spring chicken.

Too soon, if they want to step up to a big name then maybe Zhang would be the next step up if he gets past Whyte, too soon for Itauma to be thinking he has a place in the ring with Usyk yet. Hell, Itauma vs Wilder would be interesting at Wilder's stage in his career.

He's a racist troll (and very likely some loser's alt), just put him on ignore.

they don't have to fight people "at the right time", meanwhile they are fighting Whyte who has been washed up for half a decade.

Itauma still has to beat a Whyte in a seemingly good physical condition first. At this point, Usyk schools him in all departments. Maybe only when Usyk starts showing signs of aging and Itauma can defeat 2-3 more good fighters.
