If Crawford moves up 2 divisions and beats Canelo will it be a better win than Mayweather's 2013 win over Canelo?

    I do not think so.
People will point out the weight and claim Canelo was green but I'd take a young, fresh as anything 22yr old that threw in combination over this shot version of Canelo who is getting in tough fights with past it John Ryder, Berlanga etc
At 22 you're practically invincible, at Canelos age with that much wear and tear he can probably hardly even get out of bed in the mornings.

Unpopular perhaps but I genuinely, hand on heart believe that Canelo is shot to bits at this stage. There is nothing left but his punch resistance.
He's static, he has abandoned his head movement, no longer jabs his way in, incapable of putting combinations together. His technique has got far worse and he loads up on everything. His stamina is atrocious.
I think its been slightly masked by him fighting unacceptable opposition and even then he's looked bad.

Crawford's shredded to the gills. ATG status if he beats Canelo. It'd trump the Mayweather win of 2013.

man why is this even a question... looool.... anyone who answered NO is just a Floyd die hard fan and not a boxing fan..... first of all I've never seen anything like this get done... BUD will be moving up almost 3 divisions, since he just fought 1 time at 154 and didn't even acclimate in there... he will be in huge weight and size deficit... he will also be deficit in age. Canelo, though not facing serious threats for the last year or so, has obviously not been on a steep decline and is younger by like 4 years... canelo is bigger now, more experience, more powerful and way smarter than he was when he was 23... let 34 year old canelo fight his 23 year old version and he would KO that version of him... not to mention that was catchweight in 2013... I'd love to give full credit to Floyd for that.... but the catchweight thing is reducing some of it.

so yup it's way better and greater win and more dangerous fight for a welterweight to take...

I like Crawford... and I hope his skills and confidence would really do the job for him... but I will also not be surprised if Canelo pummels him... Crawford for me is not an elusive target or a defensive master, (which is what you will need when facing big strong opponents lol) he overwhelms his opponents by elite counterpunching, timing and killer mentality... but almost every fight he receives them as well.. with the exception of the spence fight where he got seldomly hit...

fans also act like Canelo is super slow compare to Crawford lol... his upper body movement is elite and has a quick powerful jab... I haven't seen anything from Crawford that would make me think he's an extremely difficult target to get to..

Even if Crawford beats Canelo, that doesn’t make him great. He’s linked to a notorious PED mastermind, and there’s a strong case he’s using something—he needs to be tested.

If any boxing fan believe that Bud or Canelo trained for their last previous opponents are either naive or just fanboys.

Who the fuck even knew an Israil Madrimov or a William Scull anyhow? Judging by their performances; They sure as Hell didn’t.

Which is why neither guy prepared for them.

Great post but you have to agree jumping up 2 divisions after having only one fight at 154 and beating Canelo would be a helluva feat. Legacy changing type stuff for Crawford right here if he can do it.
