Why is it so hard to accept that Margarito was just too big, too much pressure, and too durable in the first fight with Cotto result in him breaking Cotto down? Did anyone actually read the report on what was in his wraps? It was not plaster just "some of the elements that could be used to make plaster". There is no evidence at all that he ever had loaded wraps in any fight.

marg is what marquez is to pac for cotto... even in the 2nd fight, marg was coming on strong in the late rounds... it's crazy how cotto's punches didnt really do much to slow marg down but lots of fighters who fought cotto says he's heavy handed... even pac's body shot in the 4th round almost stopped marg.

This was a sad day watching Live. All the hype had me going nuts. Folks calling it the superbowl of boxing. It delivered completely in the first few rds until Margacheato started to take over.

Now fast forward after everything came to light and you start questioning all over Margarito's past wins. Let's think about how he nearly punched Sebastian's ear off in their fight. How many fights have you seen a dude's ear torn up like that? It was like flopping from his head. What about how he went right through Kermit Cintron? Kermit was getting dropped from almost anything Margarito landed on him.

In fact I think the turning point of Margacheato and plaster became after his first loss prior to losing to Paul Williams. Following his loss to Daniel Santos, the next fight he nearly punches Sebastian's ear off. Then he KO's Cintron in 5. In fact goes on to KO everyone else after besides Paul Williams and Joshua Clottey, both who had solid chins back then. I think his team suspected his career was going to fizzle out and they had to do one last hail mary attempt to revive his career and this was it. It was pretty much working to a tee until he got caught. Aside from the Paul Williams loss, he was literally on a tear since taking his last L to Santos.
