Apparently Daniel's dad, Stan, held a party at their Essex home in the afternoon of the fight day. Dan didn't even know most the people so went out for a drive at some point. As the fight approached, Stan decided to take all the people at the party to the fight, but without tickets. When they arrived, there was an admin blunder so Dan had to walk from the stadium car park to the dressing room (presumably usually there should be some sort of shuttle transfer?). Then allegedly, according to Simon Jordon, Stan threatened to pull Dubois out of the fight if the people he brought from the party weren't allowed in! They arrived at the stadium only 90 minutes before Dubois entered the ring.
Chaos indeed?

WITH less than 90 minutes to go before the first bell sounded, Daniel Dubois had only just arrived at Wembley for his fight with Oleksandr Usyk.
Dubois was first captured entering the stadium at 8.20pm, giving him less than an hour and a half until he was due to make his ringwalk.
Immediately, fans raised concerns with the IBF heavyweight champion cutting it fine ahead of the biggest fight of his life.
The late arrival remained a mystery as Dubois was brutally knocked out by Usyk in the fifth round under the famous arch.
But, according to The Times, a party at the Dubois household and administrative travel error was to blame for the delay.
His imposing father, and mentor, Stan is said to have hosted a party at their Essex home on the afternoon of the fight.
Dubois - an introverted character - apparently did not even know all of the guests well and at one point left for a drive.
Then their departure from the party was supposedly delayed after Stan requested extra people carriers to bring his entourage to Wembley.
Stan then drove Dubois to the venue himself, which caused further issues as only designated vehicles had been accredited entry.
The boxer and his dad then astonishingly had to then WALK to the stadium entrance on foot from the car park.
