We talking about when they were lightweights years prior to that. Shane called Floyd out when they were lightweights. Prime lightweights at that

He was 38 with 5 losses. Definitely shopworn

Ok than respond this way when the threads and polls go up. You only call out one group. Very biased.

Who replied irrationally? I pointed that out because it’s always Manny fans rehashing this stuff. It’s unhealthy.

Yet you never criticize them for it.
          The thread is about Mayweather.

If it was about Pac v Usyk and they weren't being rational, then we would have that discussion.

I'm not criticising Pac fans because the only person talking about Manny... Is you.

You have made it about Manny.
You have made this even weirder than it needs to be.

          Concentrate on the topic.

The interviewer says Floyd asked him to fight twice.

Then Shane says he asked Floyd for a fight in 1999.

In 1999 Floyd was a SFW champ with no name recognition. Shane was an undefeated LW moving up to WW for an ODH fight.

You honestly believed he called Floyd out? If so, you give that credibility- calling out someone at a weight class below you?

It was a post fight interview were Shane had a loose teeth from a headbutt and reacted to that on the fly. Regardless Mosley was never contacted for negotiations.

I agree it was a dangerous fight, the critique is those are exactly the fights that make or break a fighter. Same way Mosley took the Vernon Forrest fights but lost and was not the same after. The approach Mosley took was more dangerous and deserves therefore credit.

You didn’t answer the questions. Please do so directly.

Frankly, imo this is unbelievable. It doesn’t make sense that you call out Floyd while planning a move to Ww to fight the cash cow. Does that make sense to you?

Additionally, Merchant would’ve asked him that question differently if Shane had called Floyd out.

edit- Shane fought Diaz, Taylor and some
bum named stone before Forrest. He maxed out all the free wins and had no other choice if he wanted to unify.

He called Floyd out on live television in 1999 in Michigan. It don't get any more believable than that

Floyd excuse was he was chasing Monzons defense streak
