How Do You Lose a Rigged Fight? Ask Pacquiao

Mario was only landing single punches at a time.
It was exactly what you'd expect from a long time retired 46 year old. His punches don't carry any pop and he can't take a punch. That's not really intended to be criticism, it's perfectly normal. And it was great to see Manny moving around like he used to, albeit a much slowed down version. He obviously worked hard to be in shape.
The draw was the perfect outcome, which some are struggling to comprehend. Manny gets praise for an unlikely strong performance and Barrios keeps his belt. Both earned, neither lost and people know who Barrios is now. PBC are relevant in the media again and there will be more awareness of Amazon as a boxing broadcaster.
All worked out great didn't it? And anyone who watched the fight would be justified in thinking it didn't look right.

It's only rigged when there is a lot of money involved and the judges have been pre-prepped on how to score the fight to hopefully come up with a draw at the end. It's Vegas, so a draw means they'll get to keep a lot of money on the bets. It wouldn't be far fetched to assume that with all the money involved on this one since Pacquiao was involved, that they'd prefer a draw outcome. Sure, it sucks for Manny who deserved the win after coming back at 46yrs old and to make history, but at the end of the day, Vegas doesn't give a f**k. They want their money.

"Boxer Terence Crawford expressed interest in fighting Manny Pacquiao at 140 pounds in 2016, following his victory over Viktor Postol. Crawford had unified the WBO and WBC super lightweight titles with that win, which reportedly positioned him for a potential fight with Manny Pacquiao.
In 2015, Crawford was reportedly promised a shot at Pacquiao at 140 pounds if he defeated Dierry Jean. Crawford won that fight by a 10th-round stoppage. However, the fight with Pacquiao did not materialize, with Crawford claiming his performance against Jean might have deterred Pacquiao.
Negotiations for a Pacquiao vs. Crawford fight had been ongoing for years, but ultimately failed. Bob Arum attempted to make the fight happen, but Pacquiao's team reportedly demanded $20 million, which proved to be a stumbling block. There were also rumors that Crawford was unwilling to face Pacquiao, though Pacquiao expressed his desire for the fight. Another issue cited was the guarantee of spectators for the event. It was also reported that Crawford rejected a deal that significantly favored Pacquiao."
Arum was NEVER going to let Bud and Pac fight.
now arum cares about manny?? but before "once manny leaves arum, all the dirty secrets will come out"...Last edited by IceTrayDaGang; 07-21-2025, 08:02 AM.h2k likes this.

Surpriseeee mmuudddfakka Vegas doesn’t care about your idol worship or your Facebook theories. Manny didn’t do enough, period. Stop crying about corruption every time your hero falls short, maybe the real scam here is how easily you got played into believing he still fights like he’s 26
Though yeah, I guess myself and others who've spoken out loud about this crazy far fetched idea such as Paulie are also big conspiracy theorists. Paulie... Pacquiao's #1 hater next to you. If that doesn't say a lot, don't know what else to tell you.

Barrios clearly threw the match, there were countless openings every time Pacquiao overcommitted, yet Barrios didn’t even attempt to exploit them. It was as if he was under strict instructions to fold.
But here’s the most damning part...even with Barrios taking a dive, Pacquiao still couldn’t secure the win on the scorecards. That alone speaks volumes about how far he has fallen. The so-called “legend” couldn’t even convince the judges in what should have been a gift-wrapped fight. It’s not just embarrassing; it’s pathetic.
Pacquiao’s team can spin this however they like, but for anyone paying attention, the fight only cemented what we already knew, the aura is gone, and all that’s left is the hollow shell of a boxer clinging desperately to a legacy that has long since crumbled.
