Usyk Definitely Slowed Down Against Dubois 2

Even though this was an even more dominant performance than the first, he didn’t move nearly as much, stayed in the pocket much longer and was willing to trade far more than we are accustomed to.

Was this the added weight, a strategy, or quite frankly age showing itself in the fight?

He wasn't threatened by Dubois' offense.

Rematches favor more technical fighters. After the first fight Usyk knew exactly what risks he could and couldn't afford to take.

I don't think he slowed down at all, he looked amazing to me and wanted to make DDD and his trainer pay for all the trash talk.
I've never seen Usyk rattled or annoyed not even with Fury. I think Huck did a little and he purposely prolonged the beating but you could see he didn't like when they tried bringing his religion up. There are certain lines you don't cross.

Usyk doesn't typically start fast or sit down on his punches like that, he was landing with real spite and used his aggression against him.

I didn't see no decline just a guy who wanted to give a disrespectful young fool a much needed humbling.

He knew Dubois would be intent on applying early pressure so he stood his ground and applied his own. He's just good enough to do that.

It was a horses for courses style. I don't think he slowed down at all - he just fought the fight he wanted to given the opponent that he had in front of him.

Dubois looked even worse. He literally looked like he was fighting underwater.

He’s 38 and put on weight for this fight. I also think he knew he didn’t need to move as much for Dubois who also put on weight.
