Its definitely a risky fight for a 38 year old undersized HW to be taking. Full respect to Usyk whatever happens.

It just feels like a Dubois upset is incoming.

Probably he doesn't see any major improvement from Dubois so he must assume it'll be a similar fight as the first. which he was clearly winning until Dubois dropped him that one time which could have ended the fight with a different ref. But apart from that moment Usyk was outboxing Dubois fairly easily and I guess he assumes it'll be a similarly easy fight for him. Now he might be right because styles make fights, but on the other hand if Dubois has improved and game-planned there's always a chance he can pull off the upset. It's improbable but definitely possible.
I agree. Usyk is that good.
Dubois, er the ref must watch out for low blows and head butts as they are certainly in Dubois arsenal.
On skill, size, and punching power Dubois check all the boxes and is in his prime. Usky being close to 39 years old, than 38 is prone to decline at any time and that gives Dubios two opportunities. A puncher's chance and facing an old fighter.
Usyk has the best stamina and conditioning of any heavyweight in the last...40 years! The man can move swiftly, box and hardly takes a 10 second break for 12 rounds.

They fought 2 years ago and the difference in levels was HUGE. Despite Dubois being on a good run, I don't think he's improved anywhere near enough to bridge that gap, nor do I believe Usyk has declined enough to bridge it either.
What I will say is at Usyk's age, you can fall off at any time. Despite winning, those Fury fights were no breeze. He took a bit of a beating himself in parts of the first fight. At his age, they all take a bit out of you, no matter how great you are.
Dubois has a punchers chance. He also has a chance if Usyk turns up looking nearly 40.
Otherwise, Usyk is going to ping him around the ring again. Usyk near his best will drain Dubois new found confidence away very quickly.PBR Streetgang likes this.

It's not like he walked through Parker, Kabayel, and Fury.
Rematches favor the more technical fighter and that's Usyk, who won every second of the first fight and stopped Usyk with a jab. And he'll stop him again.
Agreed. I think Parker could've beaten him. Not because Parker is great, but I think he would land as easily as Hrgovic was but he wouldn't be spent after 3 rounds. Of course we'll never know, cos Dubois ducked out at the last minute.
Fury schools Dubois. styles make fights and Dubois is a tailor made style for Fury. Big upright orthodox straight line fighter , Fury who fought Usyk would play with Dubois and I think Fury is 5 years past his best.
Knowing Dubois has that quit in him, even though he hasn't quit in his last 3 fights, Kabayel's style would probably break his heart.

Parkee has nowhere near the chin of Hrgovic or the power of Dubois, if he took a shot to land a shot with Dubois we'd be scraping him off the canvas like a flattened kangaroo
