I don't think the Taylor loss was as bad as it appeared

I think it was different when guys fought 6, 7, 8 times a year and could just jump back on the horse. 2 or 3 times a year just gives a guy to much time to keep doubting himself. Just my opinion, of course.
But the fact that he was hopitalized with brain hemmoraging means that now he has alot more than boxing to think about.

He was seconds away from going the distance but the way it ended should leave doubts whether he can possibly continue.
If he does, atleast he is not going against a big puncher in his next fight. He's supposed to fight Andre Ward from what I know.

He didn't look too bad until the KO. Had he avoided that punch, and then Ward has been outboxed by Kessler, then their fight would be pretty interesting. But now I'm not too sure.
It's like with Ricky Hatton. After he lost to Mayweather, he still believed he could be the best in the world, and he fought that way. Now he's lost again he's not got much motivation because he's lost that belief. Is JT really going to be go into the fight with Ward saying (and thinking) "I'm back!"? I don't think so.

His situation is bizarre, because he fairs well with technical boxers, but struggles with come-forward fighters.
I wish him and his family the best with whatever choice he makes, but he needs to think long and hard about his future in this often brutal sport.

was it as bad as ricky hattons against Pac? But it could have been worse. JT did get up at the end of the day and walk and talk.
