I would pick Zurdo. Opetia is easy to hit. And Ramirez is more experienced fighter.

Jai boxes his head off like Bivol. Zurdo doesn't like the movement, add power too.

But good fight and needs to happen. Let's get a legit number 1.

I go back and forth. Both have looked good and both have looked bad at the weight. Jai has more experience there, but Zurdo has a better overall resume. Jai is more explosive and probably has more pop, but I still think Zurdo is more fundamentally sound than Opetai. Regardless of who wins, it needs to be next. No more side jaunts with the Squeo's and Dorticos' of the world (though the latter still has a tad left at 39). No more stalling.

Opetaia vs world title winning opposition:
W vs Mairis Briedis UD 12
W vs Mairis Briedis UD 12

          Other notable wins: (none)

Zurdo vs world title winning opposition:
W vs Arthur Abraham UD 12
L vs Dmitrii Bivol UD 12
W vs Joe Smith Jr. UD 10
W vs Arsen Goulamirian UD 12
          W vs Chris Billam-Smith UD 12
W vs Yuniel Dorticos UD 12

Other notable wins: Maxim Vlasov, Roamer Alexis Angulo, Jesse Hart twice, Sullivan Barrera

Opetaia is the legitimate champion of the division, but his resume is one name twice. Paper thin beyond that.

Zurdo is just so much more battle tested and has been fighting far better competition, especially lately.

Dude, no way is Jake going to fight Zurdo next, or likely ever (Zurdo isn't over 40 or inactive). I will eat crow if he does. Like, I will literally find the nearest BB gun, pummel some poor bird with pellets, then cook and eat that motherfucker.

No chance. That would derail the Jake Paul gravy train. He's not going to fight anyone with a pulse, he's going to continue to cherry pick. Geezers, guys from lower weights, MMA fighters.

Without the power to keep Opetaia off of him , I don't see this going well for Zurdo at all. He'd be better off getting the Paul bag and calling it a day.
