They both had 1 shock win and were total crap before and after. Clottey won every round before getting dqd because baldomir starting literally crying.

There was a head clash for sure but ward was p4p number 1 for headbutting and clotteys looked somewhat unintentional as he actually threw a punch before their heads collided, ward literally just jumped forward head first in a non boxing manner. Double standards or maybe clottey was secret p4p 1?

He was the lineal, TBRB, Ring, WBA, IBF, and WBO lightweight champion of the world.

He's below ricky hatton ( skillwise IMO) but he's better than Gatti. Was his win over Teo bigger then Hattons win over Tyszu? Debatable.... I think Ray Manicini was a better. Ray was only a one time lightweight champion but George was unified and lineal. So yea he gets in, Everyone gets in.

It comes down to getting votes and who’s your backing
Gatti , may have not been the superstar and the most victorious but he was must see tv for a few years and lit up AC like no other
The Boardwalk Hall will always be Gatti’s home away from home
Just to be clear , I think Forrest is deserving of HoF
