      - Holm last fought in 2013.
      - That was 12 years ago.
      - If she hasn't fought anyone in 12 years, how has she been "ducking" someone for 17 years??
      - Makes no sense................

Learn your history. The first time Holm was ordered to defend her welterweight titles against Braekhus she left the weight class, and the second time she vacated her belts and retired despite Braekhus agreeing to fight her in the US for what would have been the biggest purse of Holm's boxing career (Holm didn't see a check that big until her first title defense after knocking out Rousey in UFC).

Braekhus has been chasing her since 2007/2008.

Wonder that after this fight, could De La Hoya get Joel Iriarte better opponents, Yusuph Metu is a step up, but he is recently coming off a loss.

Think the most appropriate step up for Joel Iriarte would be Peter Dobson in a 10 rounder.

The reason she retired is because she couldn't continue boxing at a high level without fighting Braekhus.

Braekhus was legitimately the greatest of all time in the women's game until Shields arrived on the scene.

                  Braekhus:
-made 25 defenses of the WBA/WBC welterweight titles
-made 23 defenses of the WBA/WBC/WBO welterweight titles
-made 10 defenses of the WBA/WBC/WBO/IBF welterweight titles
-just for fun, added the IBO belt and made 8 defenses of the WBA/WBC/WBO/IBF/IBO titles
-became the first ever women's Ring Pound for Pound Champion
-wins over Mia St. John, Anne Sophie Mathis twice, Chevelle Hallback, Myriam Lamare, Erica Farias, Mikaela Lauren twice, Ivana Habazin, Oxandia Castillo, Victoria Bustos, Chris Namus, Jennifer Retzke, Kali Reis, and a robbery draw against Terri Harper
-She is the reason professional boxing is legal in her home country of Norway. She had to move to Germany to turn pro as a boxer and she was making her 8th defense of her undisputed welterweight titles before she was allowed to fight in her home country. Without her, boxing would still be illegal there.
