Never respect any fighter leaving/storming out of the ring when they lose.

Taylor's legacy is not aging well, IMO. I was never impressed with him. I think he got very lucky to fully unify at a weak time in the division. Certainly seems like time to hang it up.

It's time to retire. He should not have waited this long to move up to 147. Should never have fought Lopez at 140.

He's a big mouthed punk. He disparaged every one of his opponents. Arrogant jerk.

If he doesn't need the money, he should hang up the gloves. Taylor isn't going to be anything but a name to put on prospects resumes from here on out. He just doesn't have it anymore, at any weight. At this stage of his career he's just a good 6 round fighter.

His reaction to the decision was notable as was his interaction with his opponent.

It’s amazing how you can go from being undisputed champion to losing EVERY single fight thereafter (Catterrall definitely won the first fight). Ditto for Kambosos who lost to Maxi Hughes.

No surprise here. Josh Taylor, you gave us some very good fights, but it's time to retire. Hopefully with time you'll be able to admit your losses with humility, but I doubt it. Many boxers are just too headstrong.

I do think that in his best fights Taylor did show to elite level of skills, even if it was for a brief window. As some have said, his limited activity and lack of tune up fights definitely had an impact on his development, but, just from reading that interview, it seems once he won the undisputed championship, his desire diminished. Not the first one to experience that, and not the last one either.
