He is one of those fighters that ends their peak early. Too bad because he was a good fighter winning that Ali trophy and unifying major titles. He did take a lot of hard punches against Baranchyk and Progress in his wins but who really knows.

Never rated him as elite. Thought he clearly lost the Prograis fight and got edged by Postol. Should he continue, I see no Top 10 fighter at 147 I'd like his chances against.

Excellent fighter but I did not like his attitude toward opponents so I could never get fully behind him though I recognize his accomplishments. But he is washed now and retirement is the only direction he should go it. He is like Prograis, can't pull the trigger anymore.

It was no shock. Josh started sliding in '22. Marriage can do that.

3 straight L’s and this one was supposed to be a “softer touch” to get back in the W column.

Taylor received a hometown decision against Catterall but luckily justice prevailed tonight.

One more fight one more loss, one or two more and he will know what the score is before he even thinks of fighting again....

I've always believed fighters have to fight to keep that sharpness of iron sharpening iron. Looking back at all the idolised greats they never had long breaks & if they did they were never quite the same. Modern boxing, to many today get enough money even at mid level & become inactive.

When you go into a boxing match having said in an interview "I've completed boxing" then why are you boxing? You may love the sport but that eye of the tiger anxiety inside to win at all cost has gone. Josh decompressed entirely when he undesputed.

I hope he's got enough money in the bank to retire comfortably & live an accomplished happy life.
