I have watched the fight four times now (three last night and once this morning). I do not see how Froch won five rounds (let alone the seven required to win a fight).

I understand that Dirrell should have done more to make it more clear to everyone that he was dominating the fight. If a fighter does 0 in the fight 0.5 seems like enough to win, although that does leaeve thing up to the eye of the beholder he should have taken the fight by the throat which he was clearly capable of doing.

114 - 113 Froch. However a draw, or a one point win for Dirrell could be argued. I was in the arena with a good view last night, so I have experienced this fight from two perspectives.

One thing that was apparent straight away, was Showtimes biased commentary. Froch landed quite a lot of jabs and inside punches that were ignored and not commented on. On top of this when Dirrell landed they were making a big deal out of soft jabs that barely knocked Froch's head back. Also Froch landed quite a few counter shots in exchanges that went unnoticed, while Dirrells were exuberantly praised.

There were a lot of close and hard fought rounds in this fight, and a few could have gone either way, but I still don't think Dirrell warranted the decision. He spoiled all night because he didn't want to get caught up in the exchanges. Froch had Dirrell on the back foot for 10 out of 12 rounds, and landed enough of his own punches, and worked enough on the inside to win the fight. I don't see Froch's win as a controversial decision. Two of the judges score cards were definitely a little wide, but the correct fighter won.
I had dirrel up one round

Man stick to overrating apple computers, If Froch beat Direll, David Tua must have beaten Lennox Lewis, and this is coming froma man who was backing Froch and wanted him to KO Direll.

If your idea of someone running, falling over, holding and landing little pitty pat punches (half of which weren't clean) then Dirrell won.

He fought like a fool last night and lost the fight from a bad game plan.

If he was aggressive with his punches then he would of won.

Fights are not scored on running and holding. He landed the cleaner punches. He landed more punches period.

His punches were mostly weak jabs and not strong power punches but I agree fights are not won by running and holding.

I actually watched it on TV.

I suppose i could of given Froch another round in there, maybe the 6th or 7th but there was no way he won more than 4 rounds.

How did you score the first round to Froch when it was a totally even round, neither guy did much.

Why do you keep avoiding the question I asked you. How are fights scored? moving, clinching, and spoiling do not cause you points, a fight is scored on punching, and not only did Direll land WAY more, along with the harder shots icne Froch was hurt. he also outthrew him. Funny how you guys come out of the woodwork with ridiculous score, and spend the rest of the time talking about ipods. Please tell me how you score a fight "spoiling tactics don't win fights| You are right there, but they don't lose you a fight either, couple that with outpunching your opponent, and they in you a fight.

At least Direll landed about 5 jabs to the body and a left cross in that round.
