Cardenas at #5, TBRB is so much more on point than RING rankings.

The Ring is a joke at this point. First De La Hoya bought them, then the entire editorial board left to found the TBRB, then the Saudi government bought them and now they're just a promotional tool.

The TBRB is the only legitimate source of boxing rankings at this point in time.

I think that if Crawford can beat Alvarez, then he will be considered #1 and at least his fans, and possibly some respected pundits and writers, will argue that he is, P4P, T.B.E. Boxer in history.

I think Usyk or Inoue might actually be the most SKILLED out there, leaning more towards Usyk on that one. But he never fought enough. He may retire with only 24 or 25 total fights on his resume, which is quite frankly, insane. So he can’t be #1 for me. Inoue fights more than enough, but like the article said, the ranks at his weight classes he’s competed against are not very deep. He also seems to be susceptible to check hooks and I could see him not getting up from one if it happens at a higher weight.

Bivol won’t ever be #1 because of his loss…

Inoue is getting dropped and hurt by class c opponents, he’s definitely not #1. It’s funny how BOXINGSCENE wants to put him on the cover of the article lol

So your implying inoue defence isn't the best. But his offence is.
Inoue no1 as he jumps right to the best. Others are afforded luxury of acclimatising

It seems to me that knockouts are more definitive wins than decisions. Understanding that, The Monster is smashing these guys at this. I understand that "opposition" means something, but don't start commenting if you have not studied the little guys. Everyone knows Bakole, for example, but would casual fans or even moderate fans know a guy at flyweight that is in his "category"? It is an important question.

Surely Floyd knows that sports evolve, and just as Khabib is miles ahead of the fighter Iceman Liddell was in UFC, likewise fighters will arise after Floyd that will outclass him by every metric. Whether Crawford could be considered one of those, is up for debate. But the fact that history marches on and one empire buries all but the memories of a previous one, is as sure as time itself.
