This fight was similarly reminiscent of Canelo’s fight with Erislandy Lara. A fight which he lost but was given a cheap decision victory. This fight was close but Scull just didn’t take enough risks in order to take it from Canelo.

Naw-this dude was absolutely determined not to give a whiff of engaging. This is hard to look good against. Certainly nobody in the SMW division would look great against Scull fighting like this unless they were actually able to land a perfect shot.

Then why couldn’t Canelo just cut off the ring then if he is so great? This fight was close just like his fight with Erislandy Lara was.

I personally had Lara winning that fight but he was robbed by the three judges. This was Canelo’ worst performance since moving up to 168.

The ring announcers Chris Mannix and Sergio Mora’s commentating were just pathetic. They criticized Scull but not once did they criticize Canelo for failing to cut off the ring.

It takes two to fight. This performance shoukd give Bud Crawford great hope and confidence going into his fight with Canelo in September.

I have had a terrible weekend, two days of snooze feast. Scrull should never be on TV again he was scared of punch landing. Canelo was just as bad as Ramierez on Friday what is happening in boxing. Anybody know the purses they was getting because it was way too much. Bakolie is shot

It does seem Canelo is confused about what he wants in an opponent now though. Scull runs too much but Benavidez is too big and aggressive. So what does he want?
