Carl Froch - revise the granite chin theory?

Pascal was never a huge puncher so taking bombs off him isn't that great right? Was hurt and down vs Taylor who is not that big of a puncher it seems at 168 and hasn't had a ko in 5 years, hurt against Dirrell at one point. Kessler will knock his head off right?

you can tell from his tiny little jaw line

but truthfully, it's harder to hit someone solid when they have their hands down than it it when they dont
your much more free to roll and slip punches

Then why do all boxers bother keeping their hands up the majority of the time?

crap reflexes or they got that close your eyes everytime a person throws a punch syndrome
it also helps to teach your body to have the hands up when you get tired, if your used to fighting it hands down when you get tired those hands are gonna go down even further and at that point your reflexes are'nt as sharp, your not as fast and then your in jeapordy

an orthodox style is for the average person, but if you got any gifts your just better off keeping your hands down a bit(maybe just below your chin, but any higher sacrafices headmovement unless your goin in mike tyson style)

try, move your head with your hands down, then try it while keeping your hands stuck to your temple

not to mention fighting from a hands down position makes it hard as **** for the opponent because he's gonna have to be looking at your waist instead of your head or w/e
they wont even see it coming, plus punches got more power coming from your waist

In the history of boxing, far more punches have been avoided using an "orthodox" style of blocking... than keeping your hands down and trying to slip every one

Mayweather is the most difficult fighter to land clean on... but he keeps his hands up when avoiding punches

If you keep your hands down, there's a FAR bigger chance of getting hit

              You plonker.

you never boxed what do you know
all you gotta do is move back and stick your hands out towards the opponent and that alone will make them hesitant of coming in
hands stuck to your temple just allows the other guy to come in and blast your arms and easily gettin through with some straights down the pipe

so what do you know, **** all

and like i said plonker, 'average' person, orthodox is for someone that is'nt athletic, he can be somewhat fast, have some power, but that does'nt always make someone athletic

and i never said to slip every punch, it defienetly would'nt be smart having your hands down during a furry i meant coming in, it's harder to hit someone with there hands down, as you 'should' be hesitant and worried about the hands they have down at their waist which can catch you with an uppercut/strong ass punch ''coming in''(more power from the waist, ever hear the term throw from your wasit?)

You officially don't know ****. Any boxer/trainer would say the same.

What the hell are you talking about

You said "it's harder to hit someone solid when they have their hands down than it it when they dont"

I know that I've watched enough boxing to understand there's a reason boxers keep their hands up, that there's a reason young fighters are constantly reminded to keep their hands up

If your hands are DOWN, no matter how "athletic" you are... there is a GREATER chance of being hit clean on the chin, and that's never a good thing

When Roy Jones started boxing, his trainer didn't say... "Jee, you're the most athletic guy I've ever trained... we'll skip the part about keeping your hands up"
