I'm not so sure. Immediately after the fight Hearn was trying to portray Benn as the people's champion but that's simply BS. Benn's timeline of events is this; achieved nothing domestically -> got busted for PED's & became extremely obnoxious -> put in spirited effort but lost grudge fight to Jr... Perhaps if he previously held the British, Commonwealth and European titles before getting busted, the public may be more inclined to forgive his behaviour and comments off the back of yesterday's effort but at this moment in time I don't see that the fans are back onside.

I certainly don't think Benn would have enough fans wanting to see him vs Barrios at the 02 Arena (unless comp tickets are issued) so if it was to happen it would realistically have happen at a smaller venue.

You guys act like Benn is Barrios' only option. Eddy has Boots to think about too. A unification might be worth more than a singular trinket and cheaper than importing. I can think of a couple of ways Barrios gets eliminated before Benn gets his cherry. Like rematching Tank.

Yes, there was VADA testing. That's the 3rd fight since he popped that Benn has done VADA testing.

I assume you deem Conor Benn "likely clean" like you do Canelo due to this fact?

          Would Benn beat Barrios?

          I doubt it.

All this talk of Benn vs Barrios is foolish when Barrios has been linked to fight Pacquiao. Both of them having mostly fought on PBC cards in the past couple of years.

How Barrios got this popular is a wonder to me. Everybody wants some of Barrios to where there isnt enough Barrios to go around.

These guys remind me of Gatti Ward. And is is a wonderful thing... But Eddie is a promoter and is therefore shiat. Neither of these guys are really able to step up a level that I can see. Maybe I am missing something? I do not interpret the word Mediocre as being bad. In the Middle divisions of boxing reside the absolute top of the food chain. What separated mediocre from great is a small division indeed.

Please correct me if wrong: wasn't Benn enrolled in the WBC VADA program while he was at 147? That was how he got caught in the first place? Based on how much Eubank had to say about Benn's failed drug test, surely his side would demand VADA. However, wasn't it revealed after the cancellation of their first match that Team Eubank intended on going through with the fight anyway?

Benn will need time to recover and safely cut the extra weight he put on. Barrios/Pacquiao will allegedly happen in July; if so, then MR could theoretically start negotiating with the winner afterwards. Unless Barrios/Pacquiao have a rematch, which sounds ridiculous but not impossible.
