You clearly don’t understand the level of dehydration bro was dealing with. He was sucking down water in the corner before the fight started, look at the corner between rounds 1 and 2. They tried to take the water from him and he double gloved it to keep drinking. That screams this man was pretty close to organ failure at some point during the last hours of that weight cut. You watched a Eubank at maybe 60% at best. I can say that as someone who suffers from something that expels volumes of fluids out of me, it takes days to rebound from that and that’s with full blown iv’s which he didn’t have access due to boxing rules. Personally, I wouldn’t have sent him in there, I myself in that condition wouldn’t have gone in there so give this man his props. What Chris did in the 11th and 12th considering how dried out he was is pretty remarkable.if he had been seen by a non boxing physician he would not have been cleared to fight.

      Really good entertaining fight

just some perspective on what I saw

Eubank did look much much bigger but Benn had the speed advantage. It was clear jnr was drained and that impacted his sharpness but in the end he bull dozed his way to a win even if his power wasn’t there to the weight drain

Benn is still raw, he was throwing wild haymakers from strange positions which eventually gassed him out a bit earlier

right person won but this fight also showed why weight classes exist, it wasn’t the best jnr but enough to win. It’s clear pound for pound jnr is just a better boxer as he fought smart to land his shots and not waste much

i really don’t think benn will make it as an elite fighter at all but I know why he took this fight, both got monster paydays and it’s obvious a re match will happen. Hopefully jnr can stay around his existing weight so it’s easier next time to have a bit more sharpness. I expect him to knock benn out next time

There will be a re-match - Benn just made 5-10 times what Norman Jr. has made in his career until now. It was a wildly successful promotion. The only next fights either of them should take apart from a rematch are Barrios for Benn and Canelo for Eubank - reason being, if either get starched the rematch loses value . The only way a rematch can increase in value is if somehow both fighters' stock increases a lot - but that's not likely

After boxing he'll be a celebrity innit? He just made 9 million - he'll inherit his dad's wealth etc - he can swing in a hammock in paradise for the rest of his days if he wants

When was Benn the last time 147? Why should he travel to USA to fight Norman or Boots, when he just made more money than Boots in his whole career?

Barrios's best pay day is now in LOndon fighting Benn - over here nobody knows who Barrios is so won't be in a stadium.

I had it wrong as I thought Benn would win but what a fight. Full credit to Benn and eubank. The best fight I've seen for a few years.

Norman and Ennis should also try to get Benn fight in London. The best money fight for both.

But I am not sure Benn will even care to try to make 147. he doesn`t really care about the belts.

According to compubox "Eubank landed a total of 367 punches from 912 thrown, a connect rate of 40.2 per cent. Benn, 28, landed 215 punches from 593 thrown, connecting at 36.3 per cent." Thats more than 150 punches more landed the fight was thrilling since eubank went for the stoppage instead of outboxing benn but at the end it was a clear win
What you smoking lad, 116 112 means the judges only had Benn winning 4 rounds. The judges got it badly wrong. Some rounds were incredibly hard to score. I had it 5 rounds each and two rounds I just couldn't pick the winner of. Benn looked tiny and didn't even look like a 154 fighter, never mind a 147. Excellent fight and plaudits to both men. Benn has just raised his profile massively for going 12 rounds with a natural 168 fighter. Eubank looked about 180 pounds in that ring.
