Outside of title fights Yarde has only faced 1 man in the top 10 of his division and that is Lyndon.

His fighter with Beterbiev was a very nice scrap. He dished out some serious leather and seemed to give every last bit of himself in that war. I wonder how much it took out him however. The Kovalev fight was no walk in the park either....

175 is really different right now. Most of the "names" are well past 30, and the youngblood has established very little in mind share with the public. I am fine with this scrap for Yarde, he has to do something to position himself for larger money fights. With his name recognition, he can get some cash fights but he has to show something over someone. He has a very limited window, and is not in a place he can be picky. Win this, position himself for a showdown with another name, and help sell a bigger card. Someone mention Smith above, both those guys NEED immediate use of their names. That makes sense.

Another example where indecision means that the fight everyone really wanted to see against Buatsi is now severely damaged.

Yeah... no one on either side made good decisions there. Everyone ended up losing out by trying to angle for something better when nothing was available.
