$1.7 million is more than fair. Why does Brian Norman Jr think he deserves more than that? Based on what?

He has no history of ever making anywhere close to that. He certainly didn’t in his last fight against Cuevas. And he won’t if he fights Jin Sasaki next either.

I can’t believe you are defending a guy taking less money just to avoid fighting Boots.

The obvious answer is that Norman knows he has something Boots wants. It gives him a bargaining position. It really doesn't matter what he made in his last fight. He could take less money for his next 3 fights. He isn't in a hurry. Sure, I'd like to see the fight next. It's going to get down to how bad Boots wants undisputed. Hearn talking out loud on BoxingScene isn't going to make the fight. Fans scrutinizing Norman's past financial history isn't going to make the fight. It's unfortunately the business of boxing. The longer Norman holds out, the more money he is likely to get. In the meantime, he can continue to stack up money.

I have to be honest: I was looking forward to this fight, and was disappointed in the way it ended. Boots did his job. Stan? I guess he got paid. I felt like I watched him go to the ATM to withdraw money.

True, there was a big size disadvantage. Boots looked like a different division. It was obvious how this was going by the 2nd round when Stanionis' eye/s started swelling. That power was too much.

Modern day boxing fans will never change. I used to think it was fighter specific, but it's clearly not it's a relatively new phenomenon, last 20 or so years.

Say fighter A needs to fight fighter B, will lose to fighter B, or A vs B is a good fight, after A beats B, discredit the fight in every laughable way possible, rinse and repeat.

I'm not even a fan of Ennis. I think he's good, far from sold on him, but last night was a very impressive performance against the #2 ranked guy who was also a belt holder. There's no other way to look at that other than giving the guy credit for it. He didn't fight ranked fighters for a while, people, including myself, were asking for it, he's done it and done it well. End of story.

This term of “weight bully” is non existent. It’s a made up phrase to make people feel better about explaining away a win. This has been going on for decades and you’d think people were aware of this dynamic. You either make the weight or you don’t. If you aren’t big enough to beat those at the weight in which you reside, drop down into another class. It’s simple.

And that was exactly my point. He couldn’t make weight to the point that he made himself sick. Had no business in the weight class and was attempting to gain a size advantage which backfired.
