Crawford says he is Top 3 ATG with Robinson and Ali if he beats Canelo at 168

Yeah....
Doesn't change the fact that he offered the fight at 150 though, does it? Which is what that poster claimed, which, was true. He did offer to come down at 150 lbs, that's a fact.
And also on top of that, Canelo wouldn't shut up before the fight about how 152 was no problem and would be easy for him to make, not really suprising considering he weighed in only 1.5 lbs heavier in his fight before that.
Only after the fight and after being dominated did the suddenly decide he "never wanted it". Before the fight he said it was no problem countless times.Comment

I don't know if it will or not but it will definitely put him in the conversation. I don't know. You got guys like Henry Armstrong, Willie Pep and Roberto Duran all with better resume's than Bud.
However, Crawford would be a three time undisputed champion in three separate weight divisions in the four belt era. One can easily make a compelling case either way.
It would be close but I say no cigar. Those earlier guys I mentioned have close to two hundred fights or more on their records. They took more risks and fought against much stiffer competition than Crawford.Comment

I don't know why he said it, I just knew he did, and that's all I commented. You can come out with hypothesis, forensic psychology studies or whatever you want to say. The fact of the matter is, he offered.Last edited by garfios; 04-16-2025, 07:53 PM.Comment

Okay, how about 147? Do you think that weight would have made him lighter on his feet? Or he would lost anyway? Don't be a moron, you know what I mean.Comment

Bud has always been delusional. His best win is Spence and a lot of people won't remember Spence.Comment

Bud might as well go all the way and say he is goat now, saying he is top 3 is almost holding back and being shy.
Of course bud wouldn't really think he's goat, but if you want others to think it you need to plant seed in people's head. Ali.said he's goat, floyd said he's goat, fury said it. Only Ali people believed in hindsightLast edited by hugh grant; 04-17-2025, 04:53 AM.Comment

Crawford is a product of his time. Nobody fights anybody that has a chance to beat them, rarely you see a fight involving two good fighters ala Morrell Jr vs benavidez. Check Crawford resume, two accomplished boxers and one of them was really a featherweight, in four divisions covering 17yrs. Now check SRL from 79 to 81, Benitez, Duran twice, Kalule and Tommy Hearns, in the span of five years he already has fought three hall of fames in their prime. That's a resume, and no help from the judges.Comment
