Another thing to consider...if Bivol fights Benny first he would stay undisputed but could get hit by another mando before getting Beter3 and vacate anyway. Doing Beter first then unifying with Benny will give him priority over mandos.

What's the Point Bivol will just beat an OLD Injured Beterbiev?

How do you KNOW they are the TOP 2 if they have not beaten Benavidez? What if really the top guys is Benavidez, but is not given the chance.

What was the offer for the trilogy vs a Benavidez match?

It's easy to make offers in the media. team bennie makes all kinds of offers without any real money. Davy was never going to fight Bivol or Beterbiev. He knew the trilogy was going to happen. He's the actual duck. But he's got plenty of d-riders here that believe in his email chump self.

Considering he doesn't get a mandatory until 6 months later, think the most likely opponent for Benavidez is Callum Smith even if he is not ranked under WBC rankings. At least based on what he said on a recent interview.

There is also Albert Ramirez who is top 3 and has a nice streak going on for him, a undefeated southpaw KO artist. A step down from Morrell, but solid fight. Either way he get another training camp to acclimate/adjust in the division further.

Would had prefered Benavidez vs Bivol over the trilogy, but at least David is in a better position now to get top fights like a unification against Bivol or being able to entice Alvarez to finally fight the guy. Hope the fight materializes against Bivol in 2026, just hope both fighters have a solid year, with Bivol fighting Beterviev X2 and Benavidez fighting two credible opponents.

Would be neat if David Benavidez had a Arizona homecoming fight. Put Jesus Ramos on the undercard.

This is the best boxing news ive heard in year’s. Unfortunately I have a feeling that if Bivol wins the trilogy he’ll be looking for an Alvarez rematch. Unless Alvarez TELLS Bivol to go fight Benavidez and get that other strap. Which would lead to my next best news. Either way Benavidez gets to unify which lead’s to my next best news . Alvarez may just fineally fight Benavidez @ 175 . I can only Dream because all fan’s can do Today.

Amazing that you can be considered p4p in a division like that. Same with Usyk at Cruiserweight. But somehow Jermell couldnt crack the list when he because undisputed at 154 all by KO.

That's why I don't think Bivol ever fights David. He will go after Canelo at 168 or Zurdo at Cruiser. Bivol can still fight Benavidez after Beterbiev, so if he does not we will know why..
